Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
"I hired Churchville Contracting to do the renovation on my main floor (kitchen, fireplace mantle, and floors), because I felt confident in their quality of work, and professionalism. They had done work on my colleague’s house, so I had a decent idea of what to expect from them. My objective was to create a tie between rustic and contemporary. Jimmy explained to me the issues and limitations of the metal framing and concrete floor/ceiling in my condo, and provided me with alternatives to achieve the look I was going for. Thank goodness for his knowledge and creativity, I am certain there would have been serious complications had I hired a less experienced contractor. Jimmy’s creativity, style and understanding of building codes, was crucial when designing my custom mantle. I wanted a floating mantle made of reclaimed barn board, and a birch bark wall. Although the carpenters had not worked with birch bark before, they were able to lay it out into a beautiful herring bone pattern, and it looks absolutely amazing above the mantel. I had no hesitations letting Jimmy and company use their artistic visions to do what they could with the limited supply of barn board which I provided to them. I was provided with a schedule for when each trade would be in my condo, and when they would be completed. Not only were all of the trades licensed and respectful, they were punctual and efficient as well. All in all, they stuck to their budget and timeline without sacrificing quality. It was a pleasure working with Churchville Contracting."
