I don't have enough words or character space to name everything that was terrible
As per our contract, signed October 6, 2021 "Contractor shall begin work at the Residence within four weeks of signing this agreement and shall make reasonable efforts to have the Contractor Scope complete within eight weeks of commencement". It is now April 5, 2023. I do not have a completed project but I do have emails from my town saying that inspection was failed a year ago and an unpaid permit. Citywide told us our underpinning was complete and permit paid, so they were not honest with us. I also have a basement that reaks, a ruined driveway and damage to my lawn and neighbour's property. These are outstanding items they said they would fix on Jan. 24 2023. Nobody has come. We had several crews come and go during the underpinning process, citywide fired and rehired countless subcontractors all the while we have no project manager. Honestly I cannot even list all the issues we have had but 2 years later and this is still going on. Thank god my husband has worked in this industry, he caught so many unsafe things before they poured concrete, including rebar that was literally just thrown in a pit (it wasnt installed!). Run toward literally any other company. Nobody at the company has a clue what is happening at my home, meanwhile the owners we are sitting on a two year old open permit and a basement that smells like a toilet. Let alone the state of our driveway, which was torn apart. They didnt even try to protect it, they just dumped bins on our driveway, which is a clause violation, but they have violated so many clauses in our contract I can only assume we were just the unluckiest people of all time because they seem to have good reviews and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Citywide if you are reading this I am literally begging you to please finish my basement.
