I have a large planter in the front yard that measures about 6x20. I just weeded it and I don't think I'll be planting anything until next year. Every year I do this, by the time spring rolls around, I have a tonne of weeds that I have to remove again. I'm always amazed at how many weeds accumulate throughout the fall and winter. This year, I decided that I'm going to landscape fabric the top of the planter and hopefully this will stop the weeds from coming back in the spring. I went to Northwest Landscape and bought two rolls of landscape fabric measuring 3x25' for about $10 each. I asked a stocker where to find the landscape fabric and he pointed me in the right direction. As an aside, this store carries just about anything that has to do with landscaping. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't have much time to look around.

I recently started working from home and needed to change over a spare bedroom into a home office. The first thing we had to do was get rid of the carpet and install laminate flooring. Mike's Carpet and Flooring had a lot of different types of flooring to choose from. We ended up going with the laminate because it was cheaper and easier to install. We had a pretty good idea of what type of flooring we were looking for so we didn't need a lot of assistance. We were told that the installation was pretty simple as long as we had the right tools but they also provided a couple of contacts for contractors that they recommended to do the installation. Overall, the store was well organized and the staff were helpful. If I ever bite the bullet and end up ripping out all the carpet in my house and replacing it with hardwood/laminate flooring, I would shop here again.

The office that I used to work at had ordered all of our furniture from Prime Source Office Furnishings. I really liked the desk units and so when I was setting up my own home office, I ended up contacting them to see if I could purchase a desk unit and credenza from them. I ended up getting exactly the same desk that I had at the old office. I could have paid extra for installation and delivery, but I borrowed a friend's truck and me and my husband were able to get it home and put it together with little trouble. The quality is better than what I would have gotten at a big box store and the pricing was reasonable.
