Diaappointed

This is the third house we have built and the first time using DJ Design. There were multiple errors by designer (not picked up in peer review (if one was done at all). Some errors were picked up by me (home owner and a layman) and corrected. Others were not detected until framing/build started. Fortunately, we had a great builder and framing crew that addressed the issues. These were not without added costs to me and some costs absorbed by others (builder,truss manufacturer). The bigger issue for me was the owners attitude when I spoke to him. He tried to minimize and deflect responsibility. Even tried to convince me to jury-rig a poorly designed roof. Not what I expected from a professional. For these reasons I do not recommend this designer. If you do go with them make sure your builder goes over the drawings carefully.
