I found John when I looked on Homestars for someone to help with a variety of jobs around our home. John was the only person that I ended up contacting after noting his long successful history with HomeStars, as well as reading his many recent positive reviews on their website. I reached out to John at the beginning of August, and after he came to look at what we needed done, he promptly provided a reasonable written quote. He was aware at the time that I didn't want him to start the job until mid-September so when I contacted him a few weeks later, to set up an actual start date, I was pleased that John kept his word regarding his commitment to my timeline. The work at our house consisted of a variety of tasks: painting the interior of our home (foyer, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and three bedrooms); repairing a large hole in the plaster of one of our bedrooms; re-caulking our bathtub; reframing and rehanging an exit door from our garage; exterior paint touch ups that improved the overall appearance of our home. There were a couple of items on my original list that I decided to postpone until a later date and Johns advice, which I specifically asked for, was extremely helpful in coming to that decision. It is difficult to communicate what a pleasure it was to have John working in our home without repeating words that have already been used by many others: personable, professional, reliable, responsive, skilful, talented, honest, humorous and easy-going. John was all of these and proved to be exactly what I needed, and had hoped for, in order to get the main floor of our home back in shape. I will be calling him again once were ready to tackle our backyard and laundry room. Thanks John!
