These guys, seems nice . But when something is wrong, they will find any reasons to get out of it . Unbelievable. When the projects was completed, i did an inspection with them. I found some areas that didnt seem right to me, but he found all the reasons to say it was normal and nothing need to be done. A section of the concrete was clearly damaged/badly scratched and totally unacceptable 8x12 roughly. They found every possible way to say it was normal, a part of the pattern (i choose roman and there is no scratch in the pattern!) , he said there was nothing to do etc.. he didnt even offer any solutions or compensation. Me and my wife was blown away how he tried to find any reasons possible to get out of it. Cant own his problems. He came back to me few days later saying that he isnt reaponsible of the damage, and that someone else must have come into my backyard and create the deep scratches. He blamed it on my neighbours, he blamed it on other trades that might have been in my backyard.. etc. We were out of the country, there was no other trades hired than HIS company (which by the way, he subs out the entire Contract to other companies). We told them that we have a 24/7 camera recording than can prove than only the subtrades were on site. What answer did i get from them ? That's great to hear that you have 24/7 footage, congratulations sir!. They didnt care , they said they were not going to fix it. An imaginary friend did the damage and that got them off the hook apparently. For payments, we took an agreement for a cash job. They requested 50% upfront which i only gave roughly 40%. They provided a receipt few days later. Then when they came for our final walkthrough, i paid them the balance and held $500.00 of the total for the outstanding small repairs found and especially for them big scratches. No receipts was provided upon payment. Few days later , he tells me that he is on the way to do the small repairs only and to collect the balance which he told me it was $680.00. I corrected him saying that it was $500.00 outstanding and that he was wrong. Silence radio for a while then he comes back to me and tells me that finally it was $1100.00 and not $680.00 or $500.00. I refused to agree to this since i know exactly what i paid. When i provided the payment and said i was going to hold the $500.00, he agreed and shook on it . Few days later its a complete different story. Now they are harrassing me to pay in full , the $1100.00 and that they wont do any repairs (only the minor ones) before i pay in full. That is not how you conduct business. You dont provide a finished product with deficiencies and force the client to pay in full and say that if i wish to have any repairs completed i have to pay in full! You pay when your product is as it ahould and that as a customer, i am satisfied. They are now threatening me Unfortunately you broke your agreement regarding the total amount owed so we will conduct business to ensure your debt is paid in full About his imaginary owed balance that went from $500.00 agreed , to $680.00 to now $1100.00.. They are FAR from honest and if there is anything that is a deficiency, they will find all the reasons in the world to not having to fix it and not being responsible about it . The scratch repair isnt easy to fix and probably will cost them more than $1000.00 to repair which is why they are refusing to do so. I have now to file a consumer protection and BBB complaint . Dont use them, ever .
