I hired Kingswood because they did a friends floors. They arrived on time, took a week to complete the project. Angelo does not do the work anymore, hiring George. George has experience but lacks an understanding that the last 5 percent makes the difference. They came back to fix a number of small "gotchas" without much fuss. But some attention to detail would have avoided the mistakes in the first place.
I found JT (Jim) through our floor re-finisher, who said Jim painted his own house. I didn't know about Homestars then. Jim is an experienced, conscientious painter who takes pride in his work, goes the "extra mile" and a perfectionist. He prices his jobs competitively and was willing to do "all the little things" within his quote. Occasionally, when one of his team members "goofed", Jim took responsibility for the appropriate fix. The results are very pleasing to the eye, amateur and professional. I would recommend Jim for any big painting project. Be patient, good painting can take longer than you'd like, or think. The wait (three weeks) was worth it. Thanks Jim.
Major lighting upgrade, potlights
One of the best "trades" I have dealt with. Honest, fair pricing, willing to work long hours, organized, in good humour, but much in need of Spanish lessons (sorry Pierre, muy malo y no muy macho). Pierre and his team deserve an 11 out of 10.
