I have had Sophie send me cleaning ladies since 2017. After every clean I keep thinking I need a new cleaning service, and today was the last straw. (I have text messages that go back to January 2018 to prove I am a former client.) Wish I had read the other negative reviews where she disputes that these individuals were her clients. This is very unprofessional behaviour. I keep giving her the benefit of the doubt with each clean, and today was the last time. Her former clients are correct, she only takes a cut and the “ladies” don’t speak a word of English. They are never on time and she constantly reschedules. We agreed on a 2 person/4 hour clean today starting between 1 and 2 pm. (The original clean time was set for 11-12 but in typical Sophie fashion, she texted the night prior to reschedule the time.) I had made it clear in the past that I wanted cleaning done before the dinner hour - we don’t want cleaners around at 6:30 pm while having dinner! It was not uncommon for them to come so late that we were having dinner while they cleaned around us. Today, the cleaners arrived at 3:49 pm and I have it on my cameras. I texted Sophie and asked how they were goiang to finish a 4 hour clean at such a late start time. There must be some language issues, because at 6:05 she texted me back and said they’d be done in 45 mins. Well, a four clean would take them to 7:45 and I pointed that out to her. They did stay until 7:45 but had I not caught them arriving so late, they probably would have left early. My son tells me they have been late for every clean, and never stay for the allotted time. Today, I had proof on my cameras. They never lock up properly either - On two occasions they have left the key dangling in the lock! Oh, and the cleaning is subpar. They never vacuum under sofa cushions and they just move stuff around to look like some areas have been cleaned. I have pointed out for the last 3 cleanings that the bottle of ceramic tile cleaner has not been opened - they clean my tiles with water only. Today’s cleaning was supposed to be 1 extra hour spent on wet wiping all my shutters. This was mentioned in two text messages to Sophie. The shutters were not cleaned. Sophie, don’t bother responding asking me to prove I am a client. You are wasting your time there. To bad I wasted two years with you and your subpar cleaning service. It’s unfortunate that this industry is heavily unregulated and there is no recourse for bad service. The industry is full of newcomers who work for cash, and most people are happy to pay that way. You don’t know how to run a business.

I was late to open my system this year. I contact Robin and he walked me through the process of the spring opening. He was very patient in explaining how the system and rain sensor works. Escho came out promptly, and was able to repair two broken sprinkler heads and made adjustments in the various zones. Both Robin and Escho are true professionals and care about their customers. Very polite, patient, and a pleasure to deal with! Thanks for the great service. See you guys in the Fall.

Our furnace broke down in February during one of the coldest nights of the year. We called Dr HVAC and they sent Sean out to assess our situation. Having had a few previous quotes, we knew it was time to replace our 17 year old furnace. Dr HVAC gave us a competitive price, and we had a new furnace installed the next day. From start to finish, Evelyn, Bruna and Sean were professional, courteous, and took the time to answer all our questions. Today, Sean came out to do our annual check. He did not rush and did a through review of all components. Again, he took the time to answer all our questions in a professional and courteous manner. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr HVAC to our family and friends.

I hired Public Plumbing to clear out our shower drain. The technician, Nick, arrived during the promised two hour time window. He was courteous and explained the process in detail. When I mentioned that I had a competitor quote, he matched the price. Job was completed with no mess. Highly professional, courteous and patient.

Many thanks to Sean, Sam and the crew for the fantastic job on our roof. Sean provided us with a detailed quote and many references in the area. He took the time to answer all my questions about shingle choices, and returned all my calls and emails promptly. I debated over roof colours but in the end, Sean's recommendation was the best complement to our home's exterior. Our roof was also completed one week prior to the promise date!
