The last time I went jogging I think my keys fell out of my pocket. Even though if anyone found my keys they wouldn't have my address and I had a spare set. I wanted to change my lock anyways just to be safe. I called around a couple of places that I found on Yelp and McKay was the one who was able to come out the soonest at the most reasonable price. The whole process took maybe about 20 mins. As far as I can tell, the lock seems sturdier than the one I used to have.

I do a lot of cooking and I thought it would be really nice to grow my own herbs. I didn't even know if this was possible, since we live in BC and the weather can be so unpredictable. I walked into Art Knapp on a weekend and it was pretty busy. After wandering around for 10 minutes, I was able to find someone to help me. She helped me pick out some small planter boxes that wouldn't overcrowd my tiny condo patio and some seeds. She gave me instructions on planting and growing my own herbs and which would last and which would have to be replanted. She was very knowledgeable and even gave me some pamphlets to take home on how to grow my own herb garden.

I had found this really cool arching standing lamp in an interior design magazine and looked it up online. I was shocked by the price of it. It was more than what most people make in a month! I gave up hope of ever being able to own it, but every other lamp that I saw in stores just didn't compare. A friend suggested that I check out Industrial Revolution. She told me that they had some really cool stuff that you wouldn't be able to find in other stores in the Lower Mainland. I ended up going to the store and found a standing lamp that was quite similar to the one I was drooling over except the finish on the lamp shade was brushed stainless instead of mirrored chrome. The price was about an eighth of the one I was originally eyeing on and so for that price difference I was very willing to settle for the different finish. The lamp looks great in my living room and now I actually think the brushed stainless looks better than the mirrored chrome. The salesperson was very helpful and I was able to get a slight discount on my lamp because I had purchased a two bedside lamps as well. I think the more you buy, the more negotiating power you have.

I had recently bought a new condo and was looking for some new furniture. Because space is limited, I needed something that would fit a smaller than average living room. I had gone to all the stores on United Boulevard and wasn't able to find anything that matched what I was looking for. At the same time, all the furniture that I really liked online or in catalogues was way out of my price range. I was walking the Granville strip and happened upon this store by chance. They carry some really nice designer furniture at prices that weren't outrageous and the quality was not bad. I found a sofa that looked very similar to one that I liked from a high end designer store catalogue at a fraction of the price. Overall, the staff was very friendly and helpful but not too aggressive.
