After using a budget company to open our pool this year (terrible experience and I would not recommend doing this), we were dealing with a cloudy pool that we could not figure out. I called Island Wave Pools because I had heard only positive things about them and Larry arrived as scheduled. Larry is the only pool person who came and took his time to ensure everything was functioning as should while explaining things to me which I appreciate being a new inexperienced pool owner. He has a great eye and noticed a few things (including safety things) that should be done which I really appreciated and will be coming back to fix those. Larry then proceeded to tell me what he would do to get rid of the cloudy water and I now have a crystal clear, sparkling pool and could not be happier. Larry is very knowledgeable and told me so much while he was here. It shows that he really cares which is hard to find in this industry. I would not hesitate recommending Island Wave Pools to anyone with a pool!

Iconic Paving was hired through another company to complete our asphalt driveway at our newly built home. They arrived with their crew in September and before the work began, the Foreman (Vince) and I agreed on the driveway layout (straight edges on both sides all the way down). I thought this was clear and there would be no confusion about what "straight" meant. Well, to my surprise, I came out to see the finished product and was absolutely appalled to see one side of the driveway completely crooked! Not just a little bit crooked but completely crooked. I asked Vince what happened because I thought we were clear on what needed to be done. He said going straight would have involved him digging up grass and he had nowhere to put it. I asked why didn't he knock on the door to ask me if he could put the grass on the front lawn which was just dirt since we were waiting on landscaping and sod. I also said to him if you are going to completely deviate from what the homeowner agreed to then you need to speak to the homeowner before you deviate. Vince completely dismissed me and asked for payment. He also suggested I spend more money on an interlock border. I asked him if the asphalt truck could come back and fix the sloppy work that was done and the answer was not today. Vince promised me faithfully he would return to fix the driveway. He claimed to be a man of his word. Two months later and he can't even respond to a simple text. I reached out to the owner Roy and received the same response. He promised to fix the driveway several times. As of late, he has completely stopped responding to my emails, text messages and voicemails. He has yet to show up to fix the driveway. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this paving company. They are completely unprofessional and clearly do sloppy work. They lack integrity and do not stand by their word at all. There is zero customer service. With so many paving/asphalt companies to choose from, I don't know why anyone would choose Iconic Paving. It's truly disgusting the way they handled the situation.

Paul, Anthony and their entire team did all of the electrical rough ins and final finishes in our custom built home. They were contracted by the initial builder (things did not work out with him) and we retained them after we fired that builder. It was a challenging situation but they were very understanding. New City Electric is knowledgeable, professional, communication was great and they will show up when they are supposed to. Paul remembers every little detail - I don't know how! I cannot say enough good things about them and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced electrical crew!
