After Monday's thunderstorm a drain at the bottom of an exterior basement staircase was completely blocked resulting in water coming in the basement door and threatening to flood the basement. I called two companies who both responded; Mr Rooter barely looked at the drain and immediately told me there wasn't even a pipe attached to drain and to fix the problem they would have to break up the concrete around drain and in the basement. DrainWorks sent Armando out and he was fantastic. He laid out all my options after hearing the story and looking at the drain. The simple fix I chose was to snake the drain which fixed the problem. You can really tell the difference between those who have a salary and those who work on commission. The best part is when I called Mr Rooter back they told me they had sent their best plumber.
