My neighbor and I needed 3 wooden fence posts replaced. We received several quotes that encompassed various solutions, from steel spikes to hardening powder to a full cement replacement, and we decided to go for the latter as it seemed to offer the most stable and long term solution. Not only did Alex do an excellent job (the new posts are solid!), but his price for this approach was the best we found. Plus Alex was easy to work with and reliable, from initial quote to final completion of the job. Would hire again. I definitely recommend Alex and Prime Decks.

Today was our second time hiring Wolff Electric. First time was for an electrical issue that caused some of the power in various (seemingly random) parts of our house to no longer work. Noam and his colleague came and quickly identified the source of the problem which was behind one of our electrical outlets. How he was able to determine so quickly which outlet (out of dozens throughout the house) was the source of the problem I still don't know. Fixed the problem quickly and professionally. Today they came back and installed a new exhaust ceiling fan in the bathroom off the master bedroom (which is what the included cost is for), as the old one had died. He offered us various options to meet our needs and budget and explained everything clearly and in simple language. The new fan is whisper quiet and was professionally installed. He also pays attention to the little details, like cleaning up every bit of mess that's made as a result of their work, which I appreciated. Noam and his team are simply on another level on all fronts: knowledge of all things electrical (which is clearly superior), ability to implement perfect solutions, and do everything at fair and very reasonable prices. Most of all, Noam is someone I've come to trust. It's obvious he takes great pride in the quality of his work and he genuinely cares about about his customers' happiness with his work. He's just a great guy. Noam may be fairly new to Homestars but don't let the relatively small number of reviews at this stage deter you. He's a true and highly experienced pro in every way. If you need an electrician, I highly recommend you give Noam a call. You won't be disappointed.

I somewhat carelessly broke my laptop's wireless card while installing a new battery, so took it to Fujitech for an assessment and repair as my wife and I had taken a couple of other family laptops to them before and we were always very pleased with their service. This time was no different. Joseph quickly figured out what the problem was, and fixed it so that it's working like new at a very reasonable price. He also was able to fix it same day, within only a few hours which was a huge relief to me as I needed to use the laptop to complete some work I needed to get done under tight deadlines. My big takeaway from my experience with Fujitech and Joseph in particular is that he is truly an honest guy who genuinely wants to help his clients achieve the most economically sensible outcome possible. So refreshing in an industry that seems to be largely plagued by a sea of shady operators. At this point I wouldn't even consider going to anyone else for computer repairs. I also noticed today that Fijitech has a terrific collection of refurbished laptops at great prices that they themselves refurbish, so will definitely take a more serious look when anyone in our family needs a new laptop. Thank you Joseph for your professional, friendly, fair and honest service. So glad we found you!

Wayne brought some new cable into our family room above the garage so that our family could enjoy our new TV. He also cleaned up the messy cabling job in the room done by the previous owners. Wayne clearly knows his stuff. He achieved exactly the result we were looking for, and his work is super neat, clean, and professional. He even took a significant amount of extra time time to help us get our new TV all setup and configured (for no additional fee), which we were not expecting. On top of all this, Wayne is just a really personable, down-to-earth guy who is a pleasure to deal with. No nonsense - just outstanding quality of work and attention to detail. I'll definitely be contacting Wayne again when I'm ready for some additional services like home security cameras, Ring video doorbell, etc. If you need any kind of home theatre or security camera services, Wayne's your guy. Dani of Matrix Locksmith replaced two broken door locks in our home and everything about the experience was top notch. He took the time to answer my questions in our initial call as well as a my follow-up questions that I texted to him. He then gave me a verbal quote over the phone for the job. I also contacted a couple of other locksmiths via HoneStars who also seemed great, but Dani stood out as being very straightforward at all times, extremely knowledgeable, and honest. My 'gut' told me that he was someone I could trust and that he knew his trade, and his pricing was competitive with the other locksmiths, so I decided to proceed. I texted him that same evening at 9:30pm to schedule an appointment, expecting that I would get a response sometime the next day. However, within only 10 minutes Dani responded and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. Dani showed up today for the appointment, on time, took a look at our locks, and got to work. The quality of his products and installation were outstanding. Plus, Dani's easy going, professional manner actually the made the process enjoyable. He even made sure to clean up some tiny wood chips that were left on our floor after he did some drilling, paying attention to every detail. The price I paid was exactly as quoted. No hassles, no sales talk, no attempts to 'upsell' me on higher priced services. My wife and I are both extremely happy with the Dani's services. We'll definitely contact him again in future next time we have the need for a locksmith and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. If you need as locksmith, Dani's your guy. Our old air central conditioner died in the middle of the Toronto area heatwave recently and we needed it looked at. We've been dealing with Husky for years for our air and furnace maintenance so we called them up and Ali came to have a look. He explained that the furnace and air conditioner were very old (30 years) and could not be fixed, which we knew was the case. Given that we had a combined air/furnace system, it made most sense to replace both. Ali explained our options and we chose an option suitable for our needs. Pricing was very competitive for the product we received compared to other companies, but most of all, Ali and his crew provided nothing but friendly, courteous, and exceptional service during the installation of our new air conditioner and furnace. Everything is working great and we couldn't be happier with Husky. Great company. Highly recommended! Note that the price shown is net of rebates from OPA and Lennox. Gross price was $7,500.

I had a tear in one of my sofa cushions so turned to HomeStars and liked all the awesome reviews for Burkley. I emailed them a picture of my couch and the torn cushion, and they promptly replied with a quote that was very reasonable. Best of all, they said they could do it same day in an hour or two which was very convenient for me. When I arrived, Burkley explained how he was gong to repair the cushion (which did not seem easy to me). I went for a coffee and came back about an hour later and presto: my cushion was like new. I can't even tell where the tear was. Great craftsmanship! Burkley's quality of work and personal customer service was outstanding from initial contact to product delivery. Plus, the folks at Burkley are really nice people to deal with. I highly recommend them for any upholstery needs, large or small. Thanks again Burkley!

This is my 2nd review for Pest-o-kill. Last year is was to take care of a wasps nest; they were simply outstanding so I called them back for a new problem - this time a bat in the house. I called on Monday (yesterday) late at night (which happened to be a public holiday) yet Bashir showed up in about an hour. The bat had been flying around our house for about an hour before he arrived but I was unable to catch it on my own - and then I didn't know where it had gone. Within minutes of Bashir's arrival, he located the bat and safely removed it without any harm to the animal. He's clearly extremely experienced as he knew exactly where to look and how to handle the bat. The next day (today) he came back and installed wire screens on the top of the chimney to prevent any more bats from gaining access to the house (this is clearly how it got in yesterday as evidenced by both the bat droppings in the room where the fireplace is and the open spaces in the chimney). Bashir explained everything to me and showed me exactly how the screen would prevent any more bats from getting into the house via the chimney. On top of being a true expert at what he does, Bashir is totally professional and an absolute gentleman. I am a Pest-o-kill customer for life whenever needed -- no need to call anybody else. These guys really deserve all the 10-star reviews they receive.

I had a wasp nest on my porch that was concealed behind a brick wall where it met the roof of my porch. I tried another company at first, and after two unsuccessful attempts to get the wasp activity to stop, I tried Pestokill. From my initial call to them, they were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional - and the price was reasonable... so I hired them. Yahya Vance came 2 days later and explained everything clearly - what the problem was and what had to be done. I have a 6 year old and was concerned about any toxic chemicals that might be used, and Yahya explained that the treatment used is mild and would not be harmful. He listened carefully for wasp activity between the brick and the drywall before proceeding, just to be sure that there was no risk of wasps working their way into the house (the previous company we hired never did this). I sure appreciated this! By the next day, the wasp activity had literally ceased to almost zero. We now have absolutely no wasps entering or exiting the nest - just the occasional one coming back to check out the nest, but after a few seconds they leave (this is normal for a period of time I understand). Plus, there's absolutely no odor from the treatment. Nothing. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with Pestokill's service, and Yahya is a terrific guy. Next time I need any kind of pest or animal removal services, I'll just call Pestokill. All the glowing reviews you read about them here on Homestars are true. These guys are the real deal!

I found Easy Flip on Homestars and liked the reviews that Mike had received, so I called them for an estimate. Mike showed up on time as scheduled, explained everything that needed repairing, and gave me a quote. I decided to proceed right then and there as he seemed to be a very up-front guy and the price was very reasonable compared to competitors. My garage door now works perfectly (actually better than before) and Mike threw in a few extras at no additional cost i.e. lubricated the brackets, fixed a broken wheel in the bracket, and fixed the sensor that was not always working. All the great reviews you read on Homestars about Easy Flip and Mike are really true. Honest and fair guy, terrific pricing, and exceptional quality of work. I don't need to bother researching the next time I need garage repairs done; I'll just call Mike.
