Eleven years ago, I installed a outside deck built with pressure treated plywood. In searching for an elastomeric coating, I came across Ducan. I researched the product and decided to go for it - even though the techs told me that it was not good on pressure treated wood. Unfortunately it was not available for sale in Nova Scotia so I had to have the system shipped in by a local building company. I followed the recommended process and am very satisfied. The light colour has remained. The coating did develop some stretch cracks after two years in a west exposure likely due to ice, snow, and hot sun. Additionally, occasional bubbles did rise up probably due to some internal moisture in the wood but they eventually subsided. I was advised that left over top coating should be good for two years as long as it is well sealed in the container. I have maintained a plastic cover on the surface of the liquid and tight lid. Each year in the spring I touch up any little cracks that have developed over the winter. After all this time, the deck is water tight and still attractive. Couldn't be happier. Bill Reinhart
