On Monday, we ordered a new Electrolux ELFE743CAW dryer and paid extra for delivery, installation and extended warranty. Wednesday morning it was delivered and within an hour of installation we discovered that the new machine didn't work. 3 emails, 2 phone calls, and one chat later we are still waiting for a resolution. What should simply be a matter of replacing the defunct machine with a new one, has been a long journey of red tape bureaucracy and abismal customer service. Do not be deceived by a slightly lower price. Pay the extra penny and deal with a reputable company.

I hired Alanis to save me from a disaster of a job that a previous contractor had started. Having been burnt previously I was very cautious about hiring again. Alex and his son (also Alex!) had nothing but patience for me. They answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with every step. When they claimed it could all be done in a day I was dubious. Even more skeptical when I asked them to start in the afternoon. But the Alex and co. came through. Not only did they talk a good game, but they walk one too. We are so happy not just with the results, but with the process as a whole. Oh and did I mention, they took extra care to keep the are clean, including individually covering each step down to the basement, and offering to wash our deck clean of any dust they might have caused. Would 100% recommend them and most likely will be reaching out on future jobs.

I believe in giving people shots and the benefit of the doubt, but at some point you need to be held accountable. At the initial consultation, they came across very knowledgeable and passionate about their trade, and while they were higher than other quotes, it was their passion that drew me in. Work looked good, reviews looked good. Once we decided to move forward and begin work, it was a series of unfortunate events. Communication and punctuality were lacking (either showing up without notice or not showing up when scheduled), but I kept pushing through. This was a small job (64 sqft) and was supposed to take 3 days. Day 1 was to prep the concrete (level/sand). By day 6 they were still working on levelling and was told that the project was misquoted and that it would require one of their specialists and another $1k. Note at this point they had ruined two of my carpets (with cement/tar/concrete) as well as a towel (that they used to stop the self leveller from spilling into another room). On day 9 when we still hadn't heard when this "specialist" would be able to come, we decided to pull the plug on the job. Very apologetic I was told that they understood and would be refunded half my deposit. That was 6 weeks ago. I have neither heard from them nor seen any deposit refund. Really hoped things would have gone differently, but feel at this point that it is important to share with others.

Guillermo and the team were fantastic! From the outset he was competitively priced and took a gamble based on the passion they showed for the work they do. At points communication was a bit choppy, but that was easily overlooked by their work ethic and attention to detail. We are so happy with the work they've done and will definitely be calling them back to stain the front porch they built this year.

Off to a bit of a rocky start... They responded quickly to my request but then took a while to send someone to measure, and they don't have the best communication around timing or delays. It took roughly 6 months from inquiry to installation! But... When it comes to the actual finished product and workmanship of the installation team, we are very happy. Archie did most of the work solo, which was impressiveI also appreciate that when they finished the job, they cleaned up and showed us everything we needed to know about our new window. Finally, no more looking at taped broken glass, and we can actually open the window too! Pro tip: arrange parking for the installation as they need a lot of space for their truck and equipment.

All I can say is WOW!!! We've been living for 10+ years with an underdeveloped cherry tree in our front yard. Finally, yesterday we decided to do something about it. Ron responded to our inquiry right away and came over to do a live estimate. He then came back this morning and in the time it took me to run a quick errand, he was essentially done! He was on time, quick, knowledgeable, and clean. There's no sign of him being there except that our tree now looks A LOT better!! During the process he walked us through what he was doing and why. From start to finish, very impressed. Would highly recommend (and may even look for some other trees that need looking after).

Living in an older east end home means that you are going to have water problems. From burst pipes, to ceiling leaks, to sump pumps...Val at Strong Plumbing has been a lifesaver. He respo ds quickly, explains the issue, gives you a variety of solutions and doesn't charge a "women's tax". Definitely recommend him for any plumbing jobs.

After a terrible experience at Bad Boys we went to Canadian Appliances in order to replace our stove. When we got their George came up to us and was extremely friendly. He asked us what we were looking for and we showed him a picture of the unit we were looking for and the advertised price from their website. The unit was not on the floor so he took us right away to his computer to find the model. The sale price we saw had expired the day before, but he was able to secure it as the same price regardless. He quickly secured a unit, took down our information and asked us about additional services (I.e extended warranty) without any pressure. The whole experience couldn't have taken longer then 15 minutes. We were thrilled with the service and look forward to getting our new stove on Tuesday!

Having lived in our new home for a couple of hours, we were met with a burst pipe and small flood in our basement. We googled a plumber and Jamey came to our rescue. Not only was he here quickly but he was very friendly and explained every step that he was doing. He took the time to explain and fix the problem, he also offered less costly suggestions on how to prevent future problems from occurring. In retrospect I have heard that he might be slightly on the more expensive side but at the time, he was extremely helpful, quick, friendly, and put our minds at ease.

Cedrik, Ryan, and Junior showed up on one of the coldest days this winter bright and early at 9am (as promised). They came in and out of the condo quickly and without complaint (though there were some heavier items). The guys worked non-stomped and empty the condo in precision time. We then went to a storage unit where they were equally as quick. On to the house to unload the truck. It was slippery, freezing, and there was no elevator. The guys again were quick with smiles the whole time. The move took 5 hours with 3 guys and everything was moved without any harm to my items (though I think they might have harmed themselves with a few slips here and there). Would highly recommend them. Trustworthy, fast, and hard workers.
