I accidentally broke a window a day before putting our house up for sale. I called several companies, even Brock again (the original installer of this window), but chose to go with the Glass Doctor of Toronto. Mainly because they were the most straight forward and helpful. Very courteous, good service, and reasonably priced. Thank you Dennis, Lesley and Bob.

Both very helpful Andrews helped me figure out how to replace our shower trim kit just in time for selling our house. Andrew helped me figure out why our contractor 5 years ago decided to make a custom trim, it was because he didn't measure the rough in properly to accommodate the trim kit. So when it came time to replace it, I couldn't without Andrew at Desco. He found an extension kit and we bought a new trim kit. Problem was solved in a day. Thank you!

We did our reno with Joe Cosentino at Casa One in 2008. Him and his team were punctual, considerate, and cleaned up after each day. Our bathroom looked great the first 2 years but then the shower tile grout became stained and I spent a lot of time cleaning, steaming and refreshing the grout. After 5 years now, the shower diverter and lever needed to be changed and we discovered that to fix it we had to break some tile for the diverter and get an extension kit for the lever because the rough-ins were set too far back. We guess that when the rough in was made, he did not compensate for the tile depth. We also had our vent out of the roof insulated recently, we were told by Joe it would cost less to not insulate. But because it wasn't insulated we had water marks showing on the ceiling. We had to fix this. The bathroom reno was our first and most expensive project done to our house. Many lessons learned.

This is a long overdue thanks for a great roof for a great price. We are selling our house and we have had many compliments on how well the roof was done. We were given a good deal for a better shingle and it looks great. Good job and I look forward to using their services again the next time we need a new roof. Thank you!

We are selling our house and wanted to update our kitchen. Everyone at Home Depot Kitchens were so helpful. The installer, Danny, was amazing. Was careful, clean, and did a great job. We are so thankful he helped us pick a different colour too. We are very happy with it and we're sure the next home owners will like it too. We are extremely satisfied with the service and work. Thank you!

Purchased our second Toto toilet from Tiles Plus. Melanie has been super helpful with our questions over the last 2 years since our upstairs bathroom reno. Tiles are beautiful but on the expensive side for us unless there's a sale. Definitely a great place to go get ideas and questions answered.

We're renovating our bathroom in the basement and we decided to go to the Tile Shoppe. We loved the selection and more than that...we loved the prices! I wish we would have gone to the Tile Shoppe two years ago when we renovated our upstairs bathroom. Thanks Tile Shoppe for the good deals and the knowledgeable advice. Even our contractor recommends the Tile Shoppe. Thanks!

What could this company do to improve their services?
More salespeople on the weekends would be great, but luckily I was able to ask my questions and got honest advice.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Shop around for your prices, but definitely give Tile Shoppe a chance.

Update: It's May 2013 and the entrance doors have been replaced. A word of advice if you choose Brock, always complain to your salesperson, everyone else gave me the run around. It wasn't until I spoke with Kevin at Brock who sold us the doors and windows that something actually happened. He got Northern (the manufacturer) to contact me and we had them changed. Not the same door we paid for but it's all they wanted to do. I'm sure it's only because we said we are selling our house and will show our invoice to the buyer to prove these doors were only 5 years old but in such poor condition. Thank you Kevin at Brock for making a mountain move, thank you Donna from Northern for your courtesy and attention, and thank you Steve the Installer for your humour and dooring a great job of installing and clean up after. Would I choose Brock again? Hmm..only for windows (maybe). Update on review from 2008. It's been four years since we had our windows and entrance doors replaced by Brock. I wrote a review back then and gave a 10/10. We still love our windows and would recommend Brock to our friends but for windows ONLY. We've had a bad experience with our entrance doors. They are black executive doors and we were warned about having black doors, that they would absorb heat and could weather in time. I wasn't worried about that much because we have large trees and the entrance has a shelter/is roof covered, it doesn't get much sun. I’ve seen other houses in our neighbourhood with dark coloured doors without any problems. The issues we had were the panels separated from the door within a year and the door had to be replaced. Within two years, the weather stripping wore off and paint was chipping. I was disappointed with the issues that arose within two years of paying for these expensive doors. Thankfully those issues were fixed by Steve White at Northern Lights and Doors within a few months of contacting Brock. The paint chips are ugly and I was given a bottle of touch paint, which I think would only make it look worse. Well, when I thought our doors would finally last for a long time, I noticed last year that the newer door panels shifted and people can notice a white border around them. I contacted Brock again and Steve from Northern Lights dropped by in May this year. He used a screw driver to shift the panels down, but because the doors were not painted black underneath the panels, the white paint would visibly show through even more. He took pictures, said I was no longer covered by warranty but he said he would talk to his boss and get back to me. I haven’t heard anything. I lived in many houses growing up and never had issues with entrance doors, no paint chips, no shifting or separating panels, I really thought entrance doors last more than 10 years without issues. Sadly, I would be very hesitant to purchase or recommend buying a door from Brock. Entrance doors were approx $5000. Written Nov 30, 2012. ________________________ Wrote review on June 6, 2008 below Took us a month to decide which company to work with and we are so happy we chose Brock. Thanks to HomeStars.com, we feel the decision was the right one. We do have minor patch work that needs to be done on some walls but that was expected. Our windows are HUGE and lovely. Our new Entrance doors are gorgeous! We were happy with our salesperson, Kevin, and the installers, Derek and Brian. The timing of the installation worked well and they did a great job cleaning up. Can't believe how efficient these guys were! :D The happy couple in 'sauga.

Shop around, but definitely give Brock a chance. We met with Brock first and saw around 5 other companies, in the end Brock won our business for their quality and their honesty. Our project was a little over our budget but worth every penny. And expect to patch walls if you have an old house with old and funny molding/trim. Oh, and expect dust, lots of dust. :)
