Sofa/delivery/missing items/customer service
I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a sofa from this company. I recently moved from Montreal to Toronto so I needed to furnish my entire apartment. I waited a month for boxing day to come searched all ads to find the best deal and decided on a sectional sofa they were selling at a good price. It was originally to be delivered on January 4th which was a pretty good as most of the other items I purchased from other stores where going to be delivered that day. I was giving at time of 12-5pm. January 4th comes along, no delivery. I call customer service and after being transfered around 5 or 6 times I finally get someone who tells me its out of stock, they apologize but will be delivered the following tuesday.... I say hmmm Ok it was a boxing day purchase so no big deal its just a couple more days, well on the tuesday it wasnt delivered either again I call, still out of stock, they dont know when it will be available.... annoying. Finally my sofa is delivered on Saturday january 12th, which judging by others reviews I was lucky to get it so quickly. Only problem is HALF THE SOFA IS MISSING! When they delivered it, there was 3 packages and I didnt realize there should be 4-5. They just put it in my living room left it in the packaging and didnt assemble it, that was left for me to do. I didnt complain just said ok whatever. When I finally opened it there is only the bottom half of the sofa, no back rest, no arms, no cushions, just the 2 bottom sections to make the sectional shape. I call the delivery driver first just incase they forgot to take an extra package out of the truck, but no he says I was their last delivery and there is nothing else in the truck, so I call the store. They cant help me I need to call the warehouse. I call the warehouse, they cant help I need inventory, I call that department they cant help I need customer service. i call customer service and by this time Im highly irritated as each phone call also include 30 mins of hold time. After finally reaching customer service, they dont know what Im talking about, it will take several days for them to be able to tell if the items were delivered or not. They refuse to refund my money, ect ect ect. So im pretty much at their mercy, if they find the back of the sofa or not. I sincerely regret purchasing from this company. Dealing with customer service is the worst. I dont think its their faults they dont know anything and cant really help anyone. Its the company all together, They should have informed sales/customer service people. Instead these guys have to probably deal with alot of angry calls and are handcuffed to help as the whole operation is disaster. Hopefully I get the rest of my sofa. In the meantime I will call daily, and attempt to contact the corporate office.
