Faulty Roof caused over $40 K in damage to house
ShandyMan contracting installed a completely faulty roof that caused over $40,000 of damage to our house caused by prolonged leaking due to the improper installation of materials and insufficient roofing techniques. Mitigation work by 3 separate roofers confirmed that the installer did not fulfill the specific roofing procedures promised to in terms of the contract he provided. The company subsequently refused to honour the 10 year guarantee of his work when approached about the damage he caused.

Hilary & Alex, as previously discussed between us via email, it's not reasonable to attempt to hold ShandyMan Contracting accountable or seek compensation for something that you did not allow us to properly assess and resolve ourselves. This is he-said-she-said at this point, with no real evidence provided or opportunity for our team to come onsite and witness the damages claimed to be caused by us. Also, this is clearly an attempt by other Contractors to make money off of you while shifting the blame and costs to ShandyMan - which doesn't surprise us in this industry, unfortunately. As mentioned, we are prepared to fairly handle this matter through our legal team going forward - away from this platform since you’re not a HomeStars client - if you’d like to continue the conversation. Otherwise, we would appreciate the removal of this review.
