My wife and I hired the owner of AJ Upgrades in Courtice and gave him a deposit of $1425 to buy the products to sand and stain the upper half of our deck. Altogether he applied a 1st coat of stripper to 400 sq/ft of 600 sq/ft. Then the excuses came, for over a month. Dog got sick, kids got sick, father got sick, all while promising to finish the job. Then he backs out and promises that he'll return $1200 to us. This now left the job in our hands to finish it before the cold weather. Unconscionable business practices. They cannot honor their very own marketing programs on the purchase of the Thor/Monster 96" tool chest. Contrary to claims of 15% off the $1,999 plus an added 5% off, and free shipping to the GTA. She agreed it was wrong, but the best they could do was to tale $139 and see what she could do about the 5% and add $400 for a shipping charge without any delivery date in mind whatsoever. BUY FROM A COMPANY THAT KNOW A BIT ABOUT ETHICS!
