review because Modern Appliances helped me fix my fridge issue. This happened a few months ago. My parents Whirlpool fridge stopped working and I was looking for someone to help fix it. After sending requests for quotes on Homestars, multiple companies replied with their quotes. However, Modern Appliances suggested we turn our fridge off for 24 hours and then turn it back on to see if it would fix our issue. It did and we were extremely grateful. I think Modern Appliances didn't need to give me a solution to try because it wasn't to their best interest. They could have sent us their quotes like all other companies, came over to make a quick buck with an easy solution. They gave me the solution free of charge. I think that shows integrity and if I have any issues with my appliances in the future, I would definitely hire them because I feel I can trust them.

I highly recommend Radoslav for his locksmith services! Radoslav provided excellent service and is extremely knowledgeable/experienced in his trade. He replaced 2 exterior deadbolt locks and rekeyed them so they would work on one key. He had to shave off wood to make the locks fit better and placed a drop cloth to catch all the wood shavings. His work is thorough, ensuring the locks were working properly without sticking or jamming. He also educated me on what he was doing during the installation process and answered any questions I had. Once the installation was complete, he provided a tutorial for me on the locks he installed. His pricing was transparent and competitive. I like that fact he kept constant communication via text (for any time changes due to traffic) with me before arriving. Radoslav is friendly, efficient and thorough with his work and I would use his service again.

We had a leak that was identified by our home inspector who said it was likely the gasket that needed to be replaced in the toilet upstairs. The upstairs toilet and basement toilet was also loose. We sent out requests for quotes and Michael was the first to respond. At first we were not sure about Avas because they didn't have many reviews (they had good reviews) but once we found out that they were a new company established in 2021, we decided to give them a try. Micheal had his plumber Joe arrive around 9am to do the work. Joe then installed a new gasket and tighen toilet on the upstairs washroom and tighten the basement toilet. He also put toilet paper at the base of the toilet to check for leaks. We also had concerns there was dripping sounds in the living room when we ran the shower. And so Joe ran the shower and gave us the confidence there was no leaks because of it were a leak, we were see dripping water (it would be obvious). I'm happy I chose Avas Plumbing and will use them again in the future.
