Our family home burned down on Sept 10, 2012. Having never built our own home, we had no idea what we were in for. We searched online and found some standard house plans that we really loved. We ordered them, and THEN we realized that because they were issued in the USA, they were not BCIN approved and could not be built in Ontario. We were devastated. Money, and time wasted. After MANY consultations with designers and architects, we were told it would cost approx $10,000 to fix the plans. At this point it was cheaper to start over. Headed back online to search for a BCIN approved designer, and at long last, we found the solution - Rijus Home & Design. Jason was so helpful, friendly, understanding and immediately went to work on addressing the concerns with the plans. We also had the opportunity to make some modifications to the plans, and took all of Jason's suggestions about design. Jason looked after our house plans, HVAC design, engineering approval, and our color rendering!! The complete package!! At long last, we had house plans!! Today, our building permit was issued, and tomorrow the footings will be started. The last 3 months have been the longest of our lives, but with Jason's expertise and patience (we were so indecisive!!) the last few weeks have flown by as we finally had something to be excited about!!
