In my opinion Bassiony Contractors work was careless, sloppy and subpar so unless you are looking for more stress in your life and a shoddy renovation, look elsewhere for a contractor!
The promised quality and attention to detail just wasn't there.

Based on Bassiony Contractors on-line promotions, I contacted them to determine their availability, and to get a quote. During this process I was assured by Moussa that if we decided to use Bassiony Contractors, he would provide personal supervision to guarantee us extraordinary quality and that all deadlines would be met.
There weren't any red flags: their quote wasn't the lowest and their references were positive, so everything seemed to be in order. On April 14th, 2022 we engaged Bassiony Contractors to make our condo more wheelchair-accessible; including renovating 2 bathrooms, tiling the foyer, widening the master bedroom doorway, installing swing hinges on another door, and painting throughout the 1,288 square feet condominium.
Moussa signed a contract stating he would employ only skilled and properly-trained workmen to perform the tasks necessary to complete the renovation. In my opinion he did not adhere to his contractual obligation.
On June 6, 2022 Bassiony Contractors started what was supposed to be a 7 ½ week renovation project which we were assured would be completed on or before July 27, 2022.
There were numerous problems along the way including: a tantrum about micromanagement when I asked Moussa where in his quote hed accounted for something Id been billed, or the laissez-faire attitude when I discovered that they were about to install the wrong colour floor tiles.
Although these problems were distressing, there was nothing that prepared us for the horrors that await us when we moved back into our home.
First there was the matter of new vanities: on the recommendation of Moussa I met with his endorsed cabinet maker and discussed what was needed (I also put my requirements in writing). These instructions were ignored and the cabinetry Bassiony installed was not what we ordered and thus had to be replaced; so the July 27th completion date for my project has dragged on until November 23rd 2022.
Unfortunately, the less-than-professional paint job throughout our condo has proven harder to address. Some walls only received 1 top coat, for many others there was no prep between top coats; there was wall colour on the crown molding and baseboards, plus baseboard paint on the walls. The solution has been to sand and then repaint most walls and repaint the baseboards and crown molding. To-date the painter has spent 40 hours, and once the replacement vanities and storage cabinet are installed the painter will repaint the bathrooms, kitchen and den.
Dealing with Moussa has been crazy making! He believes that I owe him the deposit for the vanities he didn't bother to determine what we'd ordered (even though the order was placed through his company). I pointed out the problems with the paint job, and the crew he brought to handle my long list of deficiencies had no idea what they were doing and instead fixing the problems, they made matters worse. To add insult to injury Moussa has had the audacity to tell me that if I had a professional painter come in and repair his shoddy paint job I should pay for it, since it was not the responsibility of Bassiony Contractors!
