I signed a contract with the owner of SF Stone on September 15, 2012 with a start date of October 05, 2012. The contract spelled out that the work will be completed in 2.5 months. I gave a deposit of 30% of the contract cost. The actual work only started in November, lasted for 2 weeks (only working a couple of hours a day) and then he disappeared. Beware of dealing with this company.

- Company Response
We have been in business for 20 years and it is very upsetting to see this review that is not true at all. It was a very unfortunate situation with this client. I took this job for general contractor for this complete home renovation, the contract included a payment schedule which is standard so that all the trades involved can be paid in a timely manner. We did work for him for just over a month, during that time I saw a lot of things happen that made me worried that he is trying to get away with not paying the companies he hires. Sure enough he started missing payments from the payment schedule, after a few payments were missed I had to put a stop to the work until we could settle up because at this point I had to protect myself. I don't make this kind of decision lightly, but there were many signs that I had to watch out. Even so, I did not leave the job, I asked him to pay me what he owed and he said no and told me to leave. That is how we left it, I did not make any money from this job. What he says about 30% deposit and me dissappearing is completely untrue. I feel very badly for all the companies he continues to cheat, I can't publish his real name and address to warn others, but if anyone has any questions about this job I am happy to answer them.
