Buyer Beware - Expect this when buying a home from AVI
A true and honest review: We purchased our home a year ago, the sales person was fantastic and knowledgeable. This was a new build and at first glance a dream home to look at! To make a long story short this is where the great experience ends. Below is a list of issues we are still trying to fight to get done. - Be mindful of your possession date and take note of your portion of property taxes. We took possession mid-late year, Avi did not pay their portion and the city ended up billing us for the full amount! Avi's Finance department is very amateur at best - Basically useless. - AVI contractors dug up the side our our home in preparation of building a new home. 4 1/2 months later after consistently listening to loud music and profanity all hours of the night from their contractors, we have addressed our concerns of pooling water on our foundation and mice issues due to the fully exposed side walk. AVI's response, "AVI takes no responsibility to mice issues" and grading will be done at some point. Customer service - Non existent - Our annual inspection was just completed and 2 pages of issues/repairs are needed to be done. Still waiting as once again everything has been delayed with no response as to when it will be completed. - We upgraded all of our appliances, Fridge leaks, washer and dryer are crap. We brought up our concerns on the fridge, no response from another company (appears to be the same customer service as AVI). Washer and dryer are functional however still not happy with the quality. Bottom line: We like our home however it comes at a price. AVI's customer service is terrible, AVI's contractors are terrible, AVI's finance team is terrible (watch your wallet), broken promises and delayed to no responses. This is an honest review.
