Got a great quote from them. Then we scheduled the work to be done. Took them forever to get back to us with a date. We heard the guy who quoted us had left the company so they were scrambling to keep up with work. Then the new manager said that our quote was very underbid, but would go ahead and honor it. Our evergreen is VERY old and VERY high - its likely over 200yrs and towers hundreds of feet in the air above the neighbourhood. An arborist told us the tree was healthy and safe, no need to remove it, but we wanted to clean up all the dead branches and widowmakers from past years storms to rid it of any hazards. They were supposed to take off all dead branches (carefully without damaging our house or the neighbours house) and take all the refuse away. They called and wanted to come one day - the worst weather of the week in pouring rain - we asked them to postpone it a few days as we didn't want anyone getting killed on the job! Anyway, they did come to do the job soon after. However, we were not impressed as they left quite a bit of mess behind on both our roof and our neighbours) and presto the next day it rained and we had a puddle of water in our garage and new hole in our roof from a fallen branch (took pictures to verify)!! Also after taking out the binoculars we saw that they had missed a few dead branches. We called them to state our dissatisfaction and what they could do to rectify the situation and compensate us for the damage? They said they'd send their guys back to clean up the mess, but could only 'apologize' about the hole, and he kept complaining that they bid too low on the job and were not making any money. So sorry but that was not our fault buddy! If you bid too low on the job they should have refused the job - better that than doing a poor/shoddy job and then complaining to the customer how they are not making any money!! Not very professional.
