not taking responsibility for their jobs
[you can see how dishonest they can be in their reply. I must respond! First the illegal piece was AT THE FURNACE (SEE PICTURE)... not far away like they pretend! It was at the place where they attached the gaz line just in front on the furnace, HOW COULD THEY HAVE MISSED IT? I did say in my review that I didn't call because of the pandemic. This is what they also refuse to acknowledge. Just do not want to be in anyway helpful. I read some of their answer to complain and find they use this tone of blaming the customer before going out of their way to find solutions... is this how a reputable business work?] Just before the pandemic I had my AC repaired by Laird and Son. I had a compressor problem, they said it was a capacitor problem. I am not an expert... so I let them do their job. It stopped working during summer 2020... middle of pandemic. I wanted to call them after pandemic is over, now they just say I am too late. I hate this kind of company where service does not really mean service!. [As an aside, this is not my first bad impression of them. Some time ago they installed my gas furnace. When they inspect it in 2019, they tell me there is an illegal connector running thread gas fitting (just at the furnace!). But... they installed the furnace to it? And now they charge me an extra $339, taking absolutely no responsibility of their own work. I complained then, I complain again now... their answer, its my responsibility?] So overall I do not recommend at all.

As a reputable company who is known for being straight forward and transparent we feel we deserve the chance to clarify this review as it's very misleading.
We will go back to customers homes infinite amounts of time to repair things if we got something wrong which once in a blue moon does happen . In this case not one call or email was made to us after the repair in 2019 with your AC letting us know it wasn't working , nor was any call or email made to us in the entire year of 2020 letting us know it wasn't working (record heat wave ). Now even one month after this year's heat wave you still only reached out to us now in the middle of June. This is almost 2 years later sir, and there could be any number of issues with your AC unrelated to our work in 2019.
As far as the illegal fitting, that fitting was there from decades ago and not installed during the new furnace. The installers cannot identify every fitting in your house when doing a retrofit furnace swap out , hence when a service person came 10 years later and noticed it we charged you to remove it (which was down the line not at the furnace and tied into all the other house piping ).
We would say hope this clarifies the issue , but we already told you this all prior to the review being made.
Thanks .
