We used Truwood for a built-in unit in our dining room in 2020 based on a recommendation from friends and were very happy with them. We then decided to have some more work done by them which touched 5 different rooms in our house and there was an issue with every single project. Whether it was an installation quality issue or a manufacturing issue, every single project had a problem. In some cases it took them more than one attempt to try and correct the issue; there are still items that have never been resolved to our satisfaction and we have just decided to settle on what we got as we were not confident that they would ever get it right. Because of all of the issues that we experienced we were going to cancel the last project, but we were assured that they would take extra care and that there would not be any issues. We agreed to proceed with the project and asked if we could make a revision to the original plan and were told that it would not be an issue. We asked on several occasions what the revised cost would be as there were less cabinets and (stone) countertop, but our inquiries were never once acknowledged. We foolishly proceeded to have the project completed before receiving an updated cost for the project as we assumed there would be a cost adjustment since the scope of work was less that originally quoted, but were were wrong. How we could be charged the same amount for less is beyond me, but Truwood seems to think it is justified. They have also made no acknowledgment of the fact that we made several inquiries on what the revised cost would be. We are cutting our losses and paying for what we did not receive, but we will never work with or recommend Truwood again.
