I initially got in touch with Capps because of their stellar reviews on Homestars. When I spoke with Cynthia she was very knowledgeable and helpful and you could tell she has been in the industry a while. After my initial conversation I decided to hire them. The tech Robert is a licensed HVAC technician and did a thorough check to see how the work should be approached. They clearly assess the home and come up with a game plan instead of a one size fits all solution. This home probably never had the ducts cleaned and Robert showed me the bags of dust bunnies that were collected. Very happy with the service and will use them again when renovations are completed. I knocked off 1 star only because I was expecting a new furnace filter, perhaps the one I had was in good shape and didn't need replacement. If that's the case I will adjust my review. After this experience I will only be hiring contractors found through homestars. My last kijiji contactor was terrible and unprofessional. Complete opposite of what my experience with Capps. Thank you Cynthia and Robert for the great work and professionalism!

Warning about Northcon Corp, unlicensed and dangerous work. Would not provide Ontario GST number once requested. I contacted Northcon Corp last year when I needed an exterior entrance put in at the front of my house. The work they did was ok for the most part although at times the guys didn’t seem like they knew what to do next. As an option there was a rough in and installation of an outdoor light fixture offered for $250 which I decided to get. Throughout the process the owner assured me things are “being done to code”. Fast forward to 7 months later when I have an electrician come do some work and wire up their light fixture. As it turns out the guys knew absolutely nothing about electrical work and connected the wires using electrical tape and not wire nuts. Of course all electricians know this is not an approved way of wiring cables together and would not pass code. When I contacted The owner initially he seemed like he would help and offer a refund but kept insisting this was a proper way of doing it. When I explained to him I knew a bit about electrical work his attitude changed right away. He told me it was my responsibility to check the guys work to ensure it was done right. Imagine the audacity, I hire this guy for a job and he tells me I’m supposed to inspect the work. Avoid this company if you can, they do not stand by their work. I’m out $250 but at least I learned a lesson in making sure to hire a licensed contractor next time.
