They were very responsive coming out for the initial consult and they quoted and took deposit during the initial visit. This was important as the weather was turning bad and I wanted it done before winter. The door was ready in about the time predicted (no small feat these days) and the installers came on the day scheduled. Due to the age of the garage (80 years+) and the modification done to it to extend it forward, the installation was a real challenge. The team worked a full day and even came back the next to finish. They had to modify the structure and add some framing but got the job done. Very impressive, I feel like an other company would have just said "can't be done" and left. They even braced an old wooden shelf that was in the way of the new tracks and needed to be modified. I was amazed they didn't ask for a surcharge for the additional work. Thanks Amana!

I put out a request for quotes on Homestars for an electrical service upgrade for our cottage north of Barrie. I received about a half dozen enthusiastic responses from contractors. Once the scope of the project was detailed, (new supply lines, service mast, relocated meter base, breaker panel and some baseboard heating), the contractors seemed to lose interest. All but Chris from Encore Electrical Inc., we had a preliminary discussion and he had already arranged for the Hydro utility to come out and do the site inspection. From there it was all very straight forward without the usually delays and missed appointments. The work was top notch, and he even patched the roof where the old Hydro mast was removed. Chris arranged to come on site Fridays as we were in the city most of the week, he even managed to get the final ESA inspection on a Friday. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Encore Electric for your big or small electrical projects.
