Bought a Buytopia deal for $39.00, They say it is a 180 dollar chimney cleaning and inspection and wow do I feel ripped off. I was given a 5 hour window of noon to five which is ridiculous enough to begin with but they couldn't even make that showing up at 5:20. To make it worse he left at 5:40 and apparently taking off and setting up the ladder, getting on the roof, cleaning my chimney and doing a 15 point inspection on which he stated I should pay them 340 dollars to clean and resecure my eaves all is able to be done in twenty minutes. Oh, and I should also may another couple hundred to put a new cap on my chimney. Looked into my chimney and reached up from the bottom and it is completely dirty still and the walls of the chimney are still caked in soot. I called their number and spoke with someone (whose name I did not get) who really didn't seem to care, they just kept saying it doesn't take long when trying to justify how they were there and gone so quickly. Didn't seem bothered that I was disappointed in their work, said all they do is stick a brush down from the top and leave and they could send someone to quickly throw another brush down. I am not waiting another 5 hours for work from someone who doesn't care. I asked them if they were a bondable company if my chimney now catches on fire because they said it is clean and it isn't, he just stayed quiet. I am not having to call a second chimney sweep and this time I learned my lesson and will be getting a reputable one, from the amount of 0's I see on this website and most being on people who bought groupons etc,, it is quite clear they do not care to do work on a discounted rate. They just take what they can get and leave. And worst part is before they started he said I had to pay the 5 dollars in taxes which I knew, so I gave him a twenty and said thanks keep the change as a tip and man do I feel dumb tipping in advance now. Brutal. Just wish there was a score lower than 0.

Had a Chimney cleaning on Oct 31, rainy day and a technician showed up saying the regular guy called in sick that day so he was taking over. They new it was a TeamBuy certificate I had purchased and their supposed $200.00 cleaning only cost me 40 bucks. However, thats not the point. He said my chimney looked very dirty yet was completely done within 25 minutes and that was from the time the van arrived, to setting up the ladders to checking out the roof and inspecting the eaves and "thoroughly" examining the second chimney , along with 10 minutes of telling me I needed some tuck pointing done and an eavestrough cleaned. So being generous there was about 10 minutes (maximum) focused on the job I called them for. Additionally, they did not bring a brush to clean the fireplace and asked if I had a broom or dust brush to borrow, I am pretty sure this is an item that is important to their job. There were no photos taken of mine to show me like I read in one other comment as I would have loved to see it, I had a fire the night after they cleaned in and opened the flu which was still caked with soot, I had to scrap it off myself. I called the next day to let them know of my dissatisfaction and received a call back from Scott who was not helpful in the least and really didn't seem to care that I had an issue, all he said was chimney cleanings are fast. Didn't offer to have someone check out the work that was done, he didn't offer any sort of solution other than he will look into why they didn't show up with the proper tools. Well, I never heard back and there was no response to an email I sent so again, horrible customer service. Not exactly sure what level Scott as he does not tell you but if he is in any sort of management position it sure doesn't show.
