An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
I telephoned Leo from the listing on Homestars, telling him I had a broken railing on the stairs such that it was a safety hazard. Leo stated he would come by in a couple of hours to look at the job, which he did. Because it was indeed a safety issue, Leo offered to stay and fix it on the spot. He was knowledgeable about how to fix the metal support to the railing, efficient and professional such that, what I had envisioned as a major replacement job he recognized as a minor repair. With some welding and his expert know-how the railing is now strong, sturdy and safe. Thanks Leo. We need more contractors of your calibre in the industry. Leo came within a few hours to look at the job and, because it was indeed a safety issue, he stayed to fix it on the spot. He was knowledgeable about how to fix it, efficient and professional such that what I envisioned would be a major replacement job he recognized as a minor repair job and, with some welding and his know-how is now a strong and sturdy railing.
