Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

It's nice to see that Tasco is asking for feedback, especially since your purchases are long term items and it is unlikely that we will be purchasing from you again within a short period of time. If I had to rate our overall experience with Tasco I would give you a 4 out of 5 and here's why. We were moving into our new house on Thursday, January 19th. On Tuesday, January 17th, we were notified by our sales person that the washer and dryer that we ordered was discontinued. It was our understanding that appliances were reserved when ordered so were quite surprised to get this news. The answer provided was that the problem was with Maytag as they maintained that they did not get the order. Tasco, however, did take responsibility. I'm sure you can appreciate that during the moving process, the last thing you want to do is revisit the appliance store to select replacements. The good news is that Tasco honoured the price for the washer and dryer and allowed us to select models that were superior to our original purchase. The situation is one you really don't want to deal with at the time but overall we were pleased with Tasco's response. Our revisit to the store also addressed extended warranties. We usually don't purchase these but the policy to provide store credit if the warranty is not used changed our mind. I was also very impressed with the delivery staff. We purchased a brand new home and they took great care to cover the hardware floors and not damage walls, etc. I would definitely recommend Tasco to others looking for new appliances.
