Mike embodies all the hard to find qualities in a contractor: he is responsive and communicative, does quality work, and is honest. We bought an older house that has required lots of work and have had several bad experiences with other workers. When yet more things needed repairs in our home, we were dreading starting the contractor process again, but we sceptically called Mike based on his Homestars reviews. Mike called us back right away, made a clear appointment as to when he would be there, and showed up when he said he would. He then gave us a detailed quote which was below other quotes we had gotten, and did not try to oversell us. When we hired Mike and the work started we were very pleased with the process. He and his team were very polite, did clean work, he gave us continual updates on how the work was going, and generally went out of his way to make the process easy. The work he did included redoing the insulation in our playroom which a previous contractor had botched, installing a fireplace, redoing our powder room and tiling our basement. All the work done was exceptionally high quality, done efficiently, and with very minimal intrusion to our lives. Mike worked his schedule around us so that he could keep us apprised of the progress and give us updates. Although Mike had ample opportunity to try to extract more from us given the urgency of some of our repairs, he was honest the whole way through. His prices were very fair, he stuck to the contract we had agreed to, and did not nickel and dime us when we asked him to do some other small repairs around the house or when other unexpected work came up throughout the process. Overall we would highly recommend Mike and his team, and we plan on using him again the next time we need any work done around the house.

We recently hired Moise to build a new deck, and he went way above and beyond expectations in building something incredible. The attention to detail and craftsmanship that Moise put into what could easily have been just a simple deck was amazing. Moise met with us to consult on the design and was very clear about timing and what to expect. He and his crew showed up when they said they would, stuck to budget and were very communicative throughout. Everything was done carefully with a lot of time spent making sure that the structure was solid. And the finishing details were amazing – it truly feels like a fine carpentry project rather than just an average deck.
