Our Samsung refrigerator shut down completely about a month ago showing 88-88 sign on the display board. After reading great reviews on this website, I contacted Peter. We tried few things that Peter told us over the email but nothing worked. In the end, he replaced the relay board. It took 2 weeks to fix the refrigerator because the part he ordered arrived late (I was aware of this). After a month, it shut down again with the same problem and also the temperature display buttons were not responding. Since I had a good experience with Modern Appliance the first time, I called Peter again. However, he told me that "Modern Appliance will no longer deal with Samsung anymore due to the fact that the part department is always late and ships out wrong/broken parts". He thinks there is something wrong with other boards. He never came to check if the relay board they replaced was defective or not. At this time, I am very disappointed with the service provided by the Modern Appliance. [UPDATE] It was very unprofessional of Modern Appliance to call and tell me that they are upset with the review. When your advice didn't fix the problem I requested for a service. However, your last email stated, "we have cut that manufacturer out. You would have to contact them direct. The parts you probably need are the temperature thermistors." Did I not give you a chance? Why did you not inform me for over two weeks that you have re-ordered the part? I do appreciate the very first service you have given us. However, this unpleasant phone call from you left a bitter taste in my mouth. Thank you.

Hi Michelle, your relay board was re-ordered despite the fact that we were not going to deal with Samsung. It was not our fault that the part may have been defective or that you may have had a problem with another component. The refrigerator did work with the new board. It's unfortunate you did not give us a chance to come back and see if the part we installed was defective, or if there was another issue.
