Furnace, A/C, Thermostat Installation
A1's customer service is one of the better ones that I've experienced. Their sales person was informative and not pushy. It helped me decide to choose them over another company although their quote was a bit higher. The installation of a top of the line furnace and a/c went smoothly. The tech explained the steps, answered my questions, and also asked me questions to ensure I was ok with what they were going to do. They left the area pretty clean after their work. There was an issue with the installation of the smart thermostat and they had to re-install the old one to keep the furnace working over the weekend. On monday, a different tech came to install another new thermostat. This was a hi tech thermostat that was so new it was the first install for this tech and he was not familiar with the thermostat or the instructions. I ended up reading and explaining some of the instructions to the tech. (note: the instruction manual was not the easiest to follow and some sections may be incorrect). After several hours, he eventually got the thermostat connected and working properly. The thermostat and related software and app have some bugs and issues that need to be addressed by the manufacturer. Although it's not an issue with A1, they should be aware of this and be transparent about informing customers that this is a really new tech and there may be some glitches. In the post-install inspection, I noted a small leak around the water supply line to the humidifier and some moisture around the floor drain where the furnace drain hose was sitting. A1 said they will take care of it if these issues persist so I am ok with this. I would recommend them because of their customer service.
