Installed last summer, yearly maintenance this week. Our American Standard central unit runs like a charm, and it's very quite. It also doesn't need to run very often as Stouffville H&C sized it perfectly. When it came time to replace our previous Trane unit, it hadn't occurred to me to consider American Standard until I checked the test scores at Consumers Reports.com, it was at that point I realized that some of the other name brands that we associate with quality aren't actually that well perceived in surveys and test by CR. I decided at that point to go with American Standard and 1 year later, I have no regrets.
