I used Hobbs for my move and was very pleased. They showed up right on time and worked effectively to load up. I didn't know what to expect at the condo loading dock but they handled the less than ideal loading area well without complaint. Very good job.

We hired Royal Town Construction Ltd. in the fall of 2014 to pave our driveway. They showed up with no notice one day in September and removed our old driveway. A couple months later they came back and paved it. At the time we had no issues with them other than lack of communication. However this summer we noticed a crack in the driveway. I have been calling them since AUGUST and they still have not come to repair it (it's now October), even though we are under warranty! I have called the office and Kosta (the main contact person for Scarborough who I dealt with) and keep getting the run around. I would NOT recommend this company. They seem very disorganized and unprofessional.

Just had Capps come out to our home yesterday. But from the first phone call (even with their secretary out sick that day) I had nothing but good and friendly service. The day of the job they were on time, and both professional and polite. Paul took time to explain the cleaning to me, as this was our first duct cleaning service. And also showed me his license from the TSSA. They also completed the job quickly (less than 90 minutes for my 1 and a half story house). Thank you very much to the Capps team.

My husband & I decided to have one basement wall waterproofed to fix a leak. We were very impressed with Mario and his crew throughout the whole process. When Mario first came out to give us a quote he was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. We also found his prices to be very competitive. The price included installing two new window wells with a drain in each, as well as waterproofing the wall with a plastic membrane and installing weeping tile at the bottom. The crew worked hard and efficiently, and tried answering any questions we had (some language barriers but they were nothing but friendly!). Any concerns and Mario was always available. We would not hesitate to recommend MMT Waterproofing to friends and neighbours. Thanks Mario!

My husband & I contacted DrainCity when our basement flooded back in July of 2012. Water came up from the city line and when Viktor came out to see our basement he recommended the installation of a back water valve. While we were initially pleased with the work done by his crew, time proved us wrong. It quickly became evident that the $2600 we had spent was money wasted, as the back water valve does not function properly. Whenever it rains, water comes into the pit and fills up the pit. It doesn’t go away, even days later, and so we are forced to open the valve to let the water drain down the pipe. We have to leave the cap off the valve in order for water to drain down, rendering the back water valve completely useless. It cannot function when the cap is off. But leaving it on, especially during a rain storm (which is when you’d want it on the most) causes the pit to fill up with water and that itself will over flow into our basement. Even worse, is that I recently contacted DrainCity and Viktor about this problem and was told that if we wanted anything done to fix the problem we would have to pay for it ourselves. When I politely expressed my opinion that I felt DrainCity should honour their work, Viktor told me “Well, that may be how you think but we think differently.” DrainCity has proven to be nothing but unprofessional and I would definitely NOT recommend them or their services, for fear the job could go wrong, and they’d leave you high and dry, just like us.

We had the work mentioned above done in the beginning of May. Right from the beginning we were impressed with Spring Home, as they were the lowest quote of the three we got and provided friendly service and negotiations. They handled all the extras - arranging with Enbridge to get the gas line extended from the street to our house, organizing the return of the old HWT rental and setting up the account (with discounts!) for the new HWT rental. On the day of service, the three men worked late so that the job would be completed in the same day. They were professional and polite at all times. Joyce and Shirley from the home office were extremely friendly and polite as well and worked extremely hard to make sure we were 100% satisfied! Our furnace, humidifier and hot water tank installation all passed inspection by Enbridge on the first try. We are certainly happy with the workmanship from Spring Home and have gotten the rebates in the mail as promised. Thank you Spring Home!

I originally contacted Mark to get a second opinion on plumbing work I was told had to be done in our home. During the first call, Mark took the time to listen to my problem, review the situation and put my mind at ease. He was very honest with me and also took time out of his schedule to come and see the problem himself to give a better assessment of the situation. He also wore boot covers while in our house. Needless to say we were so impressed with Mark we got him and his crew to complete the work (and at a lower price than we were originally quoted from another plumber). It was a big job (replacement of our old cast iron stack, utility floor drain and laundry pipes), but Mark and his team worked efficiently. My husband and I really appreciated Mark and Sean staying late the first night so that we wouldn’t be without water over night. By the end of Day 2, cement had been laid so we just had to wait for it to dry over the weekend. Throughout the whole process, Mark invited us down to the basement to see their work, explained what they had accomplished and what they planned on doing next and why. He made sure we were okay with everything and understood what work was being done. We would not hesitate to recommend Mark and Drain Relief at all. They have done an excellent job and we plan on using them again for some work outside.
