We hear stories about shady movers and awful moves that when it was time for us to move again there was only number on our speed dial. We used Firemen Movers a few years ago and it was smooth and stress free. This is our third move with FM. The condo that we were moving into gave us only two and a half hour window to move in. We were afraid that we would be left with furniture on the sidewalk and no elevator. On the day of the move, FM got us moved in less than that!!! They worked like crazy to get the stuff in the door. The only downside is that we did not get the FM hot sauce because they ran out. Will have to call Charmaine to get this. LOL.

We had a one day window to paint our condo before we moved in. I called and emailed other painting companies for quotes and they took some time getting back to me with an appointment. I called Wow! and got a quote, got the paint date fixed and away we go to the races. It was a bit more expensive than other companies, but when you absolutely, positively must get the painting done in one day and one day only, you have to trust WoW! One day painting to get the work done. It was not a large condo and we had all the walls, doors and trims painted. They had 4 painters in on the day of the painting. They were here at 8 am and was done by 5pm. The manager came to inspect the work before they signed off on the work. Overall, they were a dream to work with before, during and after. I could have called other painting companies to save a few bucks but I needed the peace of mind that the work would get done and that's what I got.

We were looking for quality faucets that also look good for our ensuite and kitchen reno. We looked at faucets at very high end stores as well as home depots, lowes etc but did not find any that was stylish. We found Luxury Bath Centre by accident....we were driving by on Keele Street and saw the sign from the street. I was quite skeptical because of their name..."Luxury Bath Centre" and thought it might be describing their price also. Boy, was I in for a big surprise. They had an incredible array of faucets from Italy. The only way I can describe them was "Ginger's meet Home Depot". The styling was Ginger's and price was like Home Depot's. I purchased a rain shower/bath faucet combo for under $500, sink faucets for $100 X3, a kitchen faucet for $200 and a glass shower door for $600. The faucets and glass shower door made it look like I spent a fortune. I have already referred them to a few of our friends and I will definitely go back to Luxury Bath Centre for our next project.

They were not good, They were GREAT! They were not on time, they came 10 minutes early. From the quotes that Doug gave us which is on the dot to the move from a house to condo...it was flawless. We hear about all the terrible movers out there, but we never hear about the fabulous ones that do their jobs with grace under pressure. They never complained about the oversized or heavy items; they just got it done pronto. They wrapped all the furnitures carefully and set them up in the new place just where you want them. We had to make them take a break for lunch because they were working so hard. What can I say, we are a FAN of Firemen Movers. We are so happy that Kailen, David, Mat C and Ryan moved us.... Thanks Guys! PS. Don't forget to tip these guys when you are paying by credit card. They deserved every penny.

We had an old AC & furnace that were not working properly and with the winter fast approaching, we knew that we had to get it replaced. Fortunately, they had a special and it was too good to resist. I called 3 companies to give me a quote. One of them gave me a quote for over $9000, one of them said that he will give me a quote only if he was going to do the work. The sales person at Dupont came on time and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. He did not upsell me on what I did not need. I decided to go with them and also decided to get a tankless water heater installed at the same time. By the way, the tankless water heater is great to have. The installers came and installed everything in two days (one team only installed the furnace & ac and another one to install the tankless water heater). We are very happy with their service and work. We do the servicing of the ac & the furnace with them twice a year in order to keep the warranty of the equipment. I would definitely refer them to my friends and family to replace their furnace & ac. Thanks for a job well done.

We met the rep of Bolton Railings at a home show. We liked that they specialize only in stairs and railings. We gave them the dimensions and got the quote which was reasonable. Then they had the supervisor come out personally to take the exact measurements so that there was no mistakes. We are very happy with them because they installed the railing professionally. The railing looks beautiful and we love it. We will call them again to do the stairs and railings inside our house in the future.

We hired Anthony after interviewing a few other companies. We liked him because he was upfront and honest about the work. We also liked the fact that he broke down the cost for the various areas so that we can pick and choose the work that we want done right away. Anthony put in patio stones around the existing deck and he also installed the turf for us. We initially did not want to use "fake" turf but he showed us some samples and we liked the fact that it looked like real grass. We have a dog so this prevents him from trekking in the mud during the spring season. When the work was finished, Anthony cleaned up the site and my backyard looks great. We did the work last year and some of the cedar died during the winter. We told Anthony about this and he came back and replaced the trees. We will be doing the front yard soon and we will call him again to do the work for us. Overall, we found that Anthony is very professional, and knowledgeable. He is very conscientious about his workmanship and gave us tips on how to save money. We never felt that he was trying to upsell us on his service or materials. We referred him to our next door neighbour and she was also very happy with the work.
