I hired Ed because he had done a wonderful job at a friend's house. However, our job was not only NOT done in a timely fashion, but it was done by sub contractors who were below par. Ed himself was rarely around despite him saying he would be coming. He was doing at least one other job at the same time and thus not around to supervise the laying of the floor. Due to the quality of the work, we were unable to use the quarter round we wanted as there were large gaps between the wall and the flooring. And after a short while the wood separated and lifted. When we contacted him about that we were ignored. Ultimately, we fired Ed and left the work incomplete. I then paid 1100. to have it repaired and finished by someone else. Additionally, I never received a proper invoice with either business or HST registration number despite having paid the HST and having requested one on numerous occasions.
