MY Miele Compact Vacuum (powered) Wand Lock broke. The "lock" that connects and holds the handle (& hose) to the wand which has the floor tool at the end, just FELL OFF. Called York and spoke with Anita who had the replacement part in stock and suggested they also check the old one just in case it could be repaired, sadly NOT. Miele parts are not cheap, just wish this VIP little Lock holding the handle was better quality for a top quality Vacuum. Great family business in a great location just a few blocks south of the 401 on Avenue Rd. Thanks York Appliance Service for all your help. Mary

I hired Modern to remove my old dishwasher (must do tile work under it) and to replace the copper supply line with a flex supply line I provided. Peter asked if he could use my vacuum and cleaned up perfectly! I'm now ready for the tiling work to be done and then a new dishwasher. Peter arrived a bit early and got right to work. I had some questions about buying a new dishwasher and he gave me some good advice on how to proceed. Modern Appliance and Peter will be my "go to" for all my 6 appliances when any problems arise in future. Thank you very much Peter.

2nd job completed, new outlet installed. Next new lighting for bathroom. Neat and tidy job, quick and finally I have an electrical outlet where I needed one. I needed a light fixture installed in a dark hall where no light “has gone before”. I couldn’t get an electrician to commit, then one said ok but never got back to me. On July 6th I went back to Homestars site and contacted KNT. I didn’t call them earlier because all their reviews were for MAJOR jobs. I spoke with Bill, then Tim and emailed pictures and a description of what I needed. They clearly spelled out their fee structure so it wasn’t necessary to get an estimate as I had an idea of how long it should take. NEXT DAY Tim called and said they can do my job tomorrow, Sunday, and I said fantastic, do it. The knowledge, speed and efficiency of KNT electrician Ken was impressive to say the least. Ken did the new light and switch and then replaced 5 old dimmers (70’s style) to new Universal dimmers. KNT has restored my faith. Thank you Tim, Bill and a special thanks to Ken for doing such a great job. I can't believe I have LIGHT where once it was DARK! ;-)

Graydon gave me an estimate for the work, arrived on time and got right to it The job was to remove a pull chain style ceiling fan, disassemble it carefully as it is going to my neighbour. Next unbox, review instructions and assemble a Kichler ceiling with DC motor and bit more complicated hard wired wall control. GREAT FAN, GREAT JOB. Graydon is extremely neat and tidy, works quickly and quietly and I will be asking him to add some lighting to my condo in the near future. Many thanks Graydon !

A friend picked the 2 fabrics and gave me 4 pillows to cover. I found plain ready made piping to add a bit of contrast. Keith did a beautiful job with these decorative pillow covers. My friend will be thrilled to bits ! Thank you Keith. A few weeks later Keith made a cover for my neck roll bed pillow and upholstered my dressing table stool in matching stripe fabric which is the companion fabric to my bed coverlet. Sorry my photos are not the greatest, cheap cell phone.

Gary reupholstered an antique chair that was my grandmother's and is very special to me plus another small chair seat and 5 decorative pillows. Excellent work as usual. Thank you Gary and the Re-Wrap team.

Last year Ted and Myrtle looked after making me a beautiful linen bedspread and 3 matching shams. I found it too warm for summer so this summer they made me a lovely bedspread and 3 matching shams from a pretty polished cotton that Ted had in stock. Their workshop staff really do a wonderful job when you ask for something custom, outside of the regular drapery work. They are also making me new drapes, bed skirt and table skirt in a lovely eggshell colour for the new summery look. For some reason Homestars can't include my photo of new bedding, sorry. The fabric is lovely. Drapes, bedskirt and table skirt arrived today. A neutral colour that picks up a tone in the bedspread. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this company.

In 2008 Crazy Joe's (Leo) made me drapes, bed skirt and table skirt for my bedroom. I purchased many duvet covers since 2008 to match/compliment the drapes etc. with little success. In July I decided it was time to have custom bedding. Went back to Crazy Joe's, (worked with Myrtle and Ted). Found a beautiful linen blend fabric, looks like it was designed to work with my drapes, bed skirt etc. Crazy Joe's made me a coverlet (88L x 84W) sized to show the custom bedskirt plus 3 matching pillow shams. The quality of their work is excellent, the under side of the bed cover is plain cotton but finished just as beautifully as the linen fabric top. Pattern matching (2 seams on coverlet) is impeccable, seams are virtually invisible. Thank you Crazy Joe's, Ted and Myrtle

The Re-Wrap team upholstered 3 side chairs (seats only) and 2 armchairs. In addition they made 5 toss pillows using the two different fabrics for the 5 chairs. I supplied all fabric. The quality of Re-Wrap's work and their attention to detail is beyond anything I've experience over the years, I'm 70 and I've had lots of furniture upholstered over 40+ years. I purchased 2 chairs at Urban Barn with the intention to reupholster them. Found great fabric at Fabricland and Keith, once again, did an excellent job for me. I have one important chair left to be transformed and Keith (who upholstered the chair in the late 90's) will be doing the job for me. Thank you Keith for your excellent work and for being so patient listening to my ideas and guiding me along.

Having pullout shelves installed in all my lower kitchen cupboards was the best decision I've ever made. Marianna measured and quoted and Tyler installed about 3 weeks later. Both are a credit to Gliding Shelf. I highly recommend this company and their staff.

First I should point out that the cost of $650 was labour only because I had already purchased my fabric some time ago. Keith has upholstered many pieces for me over the years and I highly recommend this company. Now he is re-covering the furniture he did for me over 12 years ago because I've changed my decorating style. My loveseat is beautiful and Keith was very patient with me and my very specific ideas and the look I wanted. Next job, 2 chairs.

Once again Keith has completely satisfied my expectations. What a beautiful job he did with my little antique chair, double piping, all perfect. This little chair has NEVER looked so great. Thanks Keith, next up is my loveseat in microsuede. Can't wait.

Keith has done many projects for me over the past 14+ years ranging from reupholstering couch, 3 armchairs, 1 antique armchair, 2 dining chairs, two upholstered very old vanity benches, and this week he made me two different round cushions for a rattan ottoman for my patio. I have always provided fabric, with Keith's advice on quantity etc, because I enjoy coordinating the fabrics. I definitely recommend Upper Canada and Keith's workmanship. June 29, 2012
