Mike was one of the first three to respond when I asked for some quotes on a laundry tub faucet/fixture that had been leaking for months. His price was reasonable and he was the only one able to give me an early schedule right away. He completed the job very well with no fuss. The work and transaction was straightforward and he was very pleasant to deal with. I would certainly hire him again for other work in his discipline.

I hired Jordan out of a few electricians I found and reached out to on Homestars. From the moment I reached out to him, Jordan was very pleasant to deal with and always reassuring and confidence-inspiring in the job that was to be done. He did the job very well, and maintained a very positive attitude all throughout the process even when we encountered a few issues with my existing set-up. The work was well done and the timer works excellent. I'll be contacting him again soon for some other jobs I may need around the house. Will certainly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work.

I hired THS out of a bunch of top-rated fence contractors from Homestars I had initially reached out to. The cost was reasonable and Saif responded quickly to questions. Saif arrived with his crew on the day scheduled for the work. They were fast, efficient, and very good at their work. They never slackened their pace and the quality of work was really good. They finished the job in a timely manner. Saif and his group are very pleasant to work with and the quality of their work and how they go about it will give you confidence that the job will be done well. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends and family if asked. I will remember them as one of the best contractors whenever I think of fences and decks. Thank you very much Saif.

While I did not end up hiring Windor, I thought they deserve a good review on here. I reached out to a bunch of door and window contractors and got some quotes. Windor was one of the first few to respond and come on site right away. Their price was also very competitive and quite similar to the one I picked for the job...and my decision could have easily been to pick Windor. Marat of Windor was a great fellow to deal with and my initial impressions were very favorable. Am still wondering if I made a mistake not hiring them instead. They certainly have a stellar track record based on feedback from other reviewers. I will certainly consider them right away for future jobs and would not hesitate recommending them to friends and family.

Ilir came shortly after I asked for a quote. He was a very amiable fellow, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable about anything to do with roofing. His quote was reasonable and I had him do the job of taking out an old skylight that was causing condensation problems in my washroom. They came today and just finished the job in about half a day. Work was done well, site is clean and it was a no fuss contract. I'll certainly call Ilir up again in the future for anything to do with roofing, Would recommend his team to anyone needing work on roofing.

I picked GTA Gutters for their reasonable cost and the reviews I read on Homestars. They came as scheduled, did the work very quickly. Quality is excellent and the workmanship is very clean (fit and finish). They cleaned up after - small caveat on this was I blowered my entire driveway to be sure and picked up a few pieces of loose screws from the old gutter/downspout assembly that were hardly visible on the asphalt. I learned from a few flat tires with other contractors in the past to always make sure after any work done. Anyway, this is a small detail and am sure unintentional so I will not take away from my perfect score of 10. I have no problems recommending GTA Gutters to anyone and would use them again for future work.

Reached out to a few contractors to replace my old central AC unit which just refused to die May of 2018. Max was the first to respond. He gave me a price for a popular entry level Lennox unit. I was hesitant at first on whom to go with as another reputable contractor had also responded and was excellent at answering questions and guiding me through my options. Anyway, I decided to pick Max as he was ready to come right away and the estimate was very reasonable. Service was very quick. Max installed everything professionally and in record time. The reason for the imperfect score is because after the work, I had to clean up the soiled water trail from my entrance door to the basement area where the AC penetrated. It had rained outside and the canvass cloth Max used to cover the floor in the access route was not laid out right away. The AC nit and workmanship is very good and it has been a year now. AC is working very well with no issues.

This is the second fence project Alex has done for me and the third for my neighbor. Not much to say here except that as usual, Alex was once again quick to respond, gave a very reasonable and decent price and am happy with the quality of his work. I contacted him a week ago, he came in today and the work was completed early afternoon. I did some minor cleanup afterwards but driveway was relatively clean and debris was taken out when they left. I'll post pictures later when I can. Definitely would use him again, if he is available, on any future project.

Our Whirlpool gas dryer stopped producing heat a week ago. Being that it was a very old unit, we decided to purchase a new one instead of having it repaired. I left messages with a few companies here on Homestars - all of them top rated companies with 9.9 or 10. Some responded turning down the job because of location. One or two did not reply. High Tech replied through the owner Atiar that he could provide the service, He came on the day agreed and disconnected the old dryer as well as installed the new one. He is very proficient, works fast and is a very pleasant person to talk to. I would hire him again if needed and recommend his service to any friend that might need an appliance repair. Chose Northland for my driveway project because their offices were near my residence and also because of the predominantly positive feedback here in Homestars. Generally quite satisfied with the work although there were things that I thought could have been improved on. The project was a totally new driveway from the limestone base up to the finish asphalt. They took out my old driveway which was close to beyond repair. They were fast and efficient but there were little things I didn't really appreciate. One was how the head of the install crew tried encouraging me into getting an expensive clay drain pipe replaced which wasn't really necessary without giving me the other choices upfront. They could have just mentioned that a surface drain was actually recommended by the city (fortunately one I already knew about). That and a couple of leftover long marks from the edges of the roller machine they use to compact the asphalt which are still very much visible today (a year later). Anyway, I thought I could live with that and forgot about the matter. Fortunately, I dealt with a very professional and courteous person (Mike Yazdani) which made the whole transaction otherwise easy throughout the whole process. Yes, I think they do a good job. Just be attentive to details and ask for repairs if there are issues you think you can't accept (had another couple of them which they came back for).

I needed a total of 58 feet long fence built with a gate on one side of the house as addition to my existing fences. Gave the job to Alex based on the very reasonable price given and the good feedback here in Homestars. He came very early on the agreed date with an assistant. He completed the fence in one day and attached the gate the next day. Work was very professionally done. The area worked in was also very clean and you have to admire the way they left the site. You can easily tell how much effort was given to keep the surroundings clean & orderly. He also took no down payment which shows confidence in his work. Very easy to deal with and a no hassle transaction. Will certainly recommend him to others and will be calling him again for any future work needed of the same nature.
