It's almost unimaginable to use the word "enjoy" when talking about home repair, but I did honestly enjoy the experience of working with Mike Palmer and the team at Ideal. There was some scheduling complexity to our insulation job, as we first had to complete an absetos abatement and make some other attic repairs and modifications. Mike was outstanding managing this project, accommodating changes, identifying solutions, all the while communicating clearly and regularly. All the Ideal team was great, and I would highly recommend working with Mike to coordinate and manage your project.

The fours worries most homeowners have when undertaking major renovations or repairs are: (1) quality/competence, (2) whether/how the contractor will communicate progress or challenges, (3) whether they will actually complete the work fully, and (4) whether the contractor can be trusted. With a complex job that encountered unforeseen challenges, Don and his crew delivered on these critical components. The work was well done, and Don clearly and regularly communicated both progress and challenges (including with pictures documenting all the details), provided different solution options, and then delivered on completing the job, including to quickly remediate the inevitable additional final details. As a result, trust was built. I would trust and recommend Don and Timber Ridge for demanding and complex jobs like this (asbestos abatement in an older house).
