Alex recently installed 4 windows and 2 doors for our fixer upper. He offered great suggestions when determining what windows should be installed. He didn’t try to sell us something we didn’t need. He is one of the cleanest contractors we have seen and worked long days to complete the job. Why the low review? On the first day, he tried to install a window in the wrong room. Luckily, only the trim was removed before I realized what was happening. He was about to cut into the house as the new window was larger than the existing window. After some back and forth, he realized his mistake and the window was eventually installed in the correct room. The other window installations went fine. Alex returned this past weekend to install the front door. When he asked to speak to me, he raised his voice 2 octaves and screamed, “I TOLD YOU WHEN THE FLOOR TILE IS INSTALLED…” He made me so angry with this unprofessionalism, I left without saying a word as he continued to rant the floor tile was not installed to his specifications. Alex raised his voice at my husband when he came to investigate the commotion. Thankfully, the same tile installer was at the house working on another project. After much back and forth between Alex and the tile installer with Alex's voice raised, the tile was cut back and the door was installed. The rest of the day Alex was uncomfortably quiet and was very short and curt with us when we asked questions. Alex never apologized for his behaviour . As the tile installer was leaving, he said he was shocked to hear Alex screaming at us in that manner. The lack of professionalism has left a sour test in our mouths. Because of this, we will not hire Alex to install the remaining windows next year.
