A few months ago, my wife and I bought a house that Matt had renovated for the previous owner. This detail is important as I explain what followed. Prior to closing, Matt offered to give us a tour of the house and answer any questions we had about the specifics of the renovation. At the time, we thought this was a kind, one-off gesture rather than one of Matt's core company values. Then, a few days after moving in, we discovered a small leak in one of the showers. We decided to contact Matt first, with the understanding that we werent his clients, and that he didnt technically owe us a response. To our delight, Matt took the call and quickly identified the problem. He gave us two options: a) A simple fix that would stop the leak but might require more attention in a few years b) A overkill option that would fix the leak and be much nicer than the previous owner had requested but would entail replacing the shower floor and curb Matt generously offered to cover the demolition and cost of new materials if we agreed to pay the hourly rate of his tiler. This seemed more than fair so we decided on the more involved option. A few days later, not only is the leak fixed, but we have a beautiful shower that looks and feels nicer than when we bought the house. Needless to say, we couldnt be happier with the result and will definitely be working with Matt and his team again.

Zaid came highly recommended by a friend who had used him three times. For context, we hired Zaid to move us out of a 3 bedroom house, including disassembly and reassembly of key pieces of furniture. From start to finish, Zaid and his team were easy to communicate with, punctual, efficient, and extremely friendly. Nothing broke and there was no damage to the houses - what more can you ask for? Needless to say, we will be recommending Zaid anytime someone needs a mover.

We hired Andre to get our house ready for market and his team did an awesome job that included painting, carpentry, drywall repair, installation of new fixtures and almost every kind of touch-up you can imagine. As each part of the project finished we marveled at his work and regretted not hiring him sooner. Communication with Andre was superb from start to finish. He was professional, polite, friendly, welcoming of feedback, and spot on with his advice. We enjoyed having him in our home and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

We had what can only be described as a perfect experience with Templar. Over a holiday weekend, we discovered that animals had found their way in between our siding leaving a suspicious looking material near the entry point. Fearing that it contained asbestos, we called Robert at Templar who, much to our surprise, answered the phone and scheduled a visit despite the holiday. Fortunately, no asbestos was found in our sample but had the test results come back positive, we would have hired Templar on the spot based on Robert's calm demeanor, great communication and willingness to help us outside of normal working hours.

We compared Barnyards to four other companies and decided to give Matt the business based on how courteous and straight-forward he was. Matt patiently answered all of our questions and was happy to explain the pros and cons of his proposal versus the others we received. From estimation through to completion of the job, Matt was easy to get a hold of, proactive with updates, and gave us a range of options to work with based on our needs. His team replaced our flat roof, added insulation and a new skylight during the dead of winter. And, when we discovered that water from our neighbour's roof was causing a leak in our house, Matt solved the problem at no additional cost. The new roof is awesome, but equally important, the job was done on budget, on time, and our property was virtually spotless afterward. Highly recommended.
