WHY L&S? While most contractors shied away from our project, the collective team of Mike, Kaylane and Trey bravely took it on and worked tirelessly to give us the backyard of our dreams! Mike is extremely communicative and takes the time to explain every step of the way-- from scoping the project, to quoting, all the way down to execution, Mike makes every effort to keep you informed and puts you at ease from day 1. On top of that, Kaylane and Trey are solid young men who pour every fibre of their being into ensure the job is done right and on time! SCOPE: excavation of previous turf/concrete slabs + grading (by hand), install new stone garden bed, plant cedar hedges, lay down pavers ACCESS: POOR to NON-EXISTENT. We live in a rowhome (ie. no direct access to backyard); only access to the backyard is through the house. These guys did everything by hand via wheelbarrow and carrying items through the house-- WITHOUT damaging anything inside. LIFE BEFORE: our backyard was a mess with only about 1/10 of which was useable-- the rest was just a muddy mess (poor drainage, neighbour on one side is a few inches elevated above ours, neighbour across from us has a giant maple tree that shades half our yard leaving the ground damp for several days after rainfall). LIFE AFTER: we are now able to enjoy our ENTIRE backyard! We have small children (and dogs) who are now able to make use of every single square footage back there-- it's almost as if we doubled our living space overnight! FINAL NOTES: I highly recommend you give Mike a call for your hardscaping/softscaping needs. Fair and honest pricing, backed up by solid and reliable workmanship.

We recently hired Casey to come in and get potlights installed into our living room area-- we were so impressed with his work and the change in our home that we ended up extending the project to include more potlights in the kitchen and the upstairs hallway. Pricing is pretty much bang on for the industry, but at least you know you are getting someone who clearly knows what they are doing, while providing amazing feedback/dialog and customer service throughout the entire process. Keep up the great work Casey!

Thought I had a much more complex problem (garage door was difficult to open/close) but the technician who came explained / demonstrated that all I needed were simple adjustments. They then charged me for a 'service call' as opposed to a full on repair. They were on time, courteous and will definitely be calling them if/when I need additional garage help!

This will be our first spring/summer in this house; the previous homeowners severely neglected the backyard lawn. Major grub infestations leading to dead/no grass in most areas and was uneven in many areas leading to pooling after rain. We wanted to re-sod our lawn, have weeping tile installed on one side of our yard, and remove a tree stump. We live in a row home and due to bad access to our backyard, we had several contractors flat out reject doing the job...even had one company come in and promised to send a quote but never ended up sending one. So we were beginning to feel like we'd never be able to get the backyard of our dreams. Luckily we came across Mike, saw other great reviews and figured we'd give him a shot. Mike did not disappoint. He came to our property for a site assessment, educated me on what steps he would take and even offered to haul my debris from the tree removal. On the day of service, Mike and his teammate were prompt with their arrival and worked tirelessly through the day. He also went above and beyond to find an alternative supplier for sod after his primary vendor was unavailable + grab a stump grinder for removal. They were very professional, respectful and took care to ensure they didn't damage the interior of our house as they hauled items in and out. My family and I are excited to enjoy our new lawn for many years to come! Thank you Mike and team. Keep up the great work.
