If your cabinets are in good shape and you just want to freshen them up, it’s tempting to DIY. But after having seen the results of True Blue’s efforts and the amazing results they achieved, you’d be crazy to think you could do the same. Kent was onsite for days, painting coat after coat, into every nook and cranny, beautiful coverage. And Okko methodically removed all door fronts, hinges, pulls, and closers (and put them back in the EXACT same places), before taking the fronts offsite for catalytic lacquer spraying. The finish on the doors is perfection, with a subtle sheen and smooth surface – I didn’t know it was possible to get old doors looking so amazing, and there’s no way that could have been achieved with onsite spraying. The process is an initial quote on photos, if interested then a followup in-person visit by Okko, door removal and spraying by Okko, onsite painting by Kent (fairly high fumes the entire time, and for days after), and door replacement/adjustment by Okko. For us it was roughly a 2 week timeline (not including estimates) and they’re quite busy so expect to book at least several months in advance. Heads up that Okko is forthright and will state clear expectations and limitations - if you need someone warm and fuzzy, it won’t be a good fit for you.

Blinds are such a visible part of your home, and we were so pleased to find Wholesale Blinds to work with us. We got both black-out and solar shades, so it was great that their materials for those shades had a similar look and feel (not the case with a budget competitor who also quoted). All shade materials are made in North America and the blinds themselves are fabricated in the Lower Mainland. Support local! We're so satisfied with the blinds themselves, which look amazing and function so well. But we were perhaps more impressed with the people. Kyle, who measured and installed, was so careful and tuned to the small details that matter - he did an awesome job. And Paul (VP Sales) did the initial visit and an in-person follow-up when we were concerned about one aspect of the installed blinds (which was totally our misperception) - he listened, cared, and was fully invested in making sure we were satisfied. Very highly recommended!

After purchasing a condo, we needed to maximize our closet space to make the space more livable. Sharlene from Clever Quarters came onsite to meet with us, listen to our needs, and take detailed measurements. We received our designs the same day, and went back and forth by email and phone as needed to make adjustments to our preferences. On the week of our installation, we contacted Sharlene to add two small closets onto our order, and they were somehow able to design and fabricate in time to have all of the organizers installed on the same day – amazing! The organizers are VERY solid and well-attached, no worries about them handling the weight of our hangers or pantry items. Cost was quite reasonable, and I love that this is a local company. Highly recommended!

Moving is a pain, and you’re essentially trusting strangers with all of your possessions. Simple Moves is worthy of that trust. All of our interactions with them, right from the speedy quote to booking, confirmation, and move day to the follow up – were efficient, friendly, helpful and clear. We had wonderful experiences with Jani from previous moves, and he’s built a company up to his high standards. Our moving crew (Judith, Jimmy, Doug, Omar – thanks so much!) were really lovely, they listened well, were careful with our things and our walls, and did a great job. Simple Moves turned the usual chaos of a move day into a smooth process. Pricing was completely reasonable, and we’re totally satisfied. Highly recommended!
