I can never understand why it's so hard for some companies to be on time. Even more disappointing is when you have to call and follow up yourself. My appointment was booked for between 12-2pm. After making a couple of calls I was told the installers were on their way. I had specifically mentioned (before booking for that specific day) that the workers needed to be out by 5pm. I was assured they would. The installers arrived at 3:30pm and didn't leave until 6:45pm. They also left a few scattered cigarette butts on my driveway too. Both my wife and I had evening appointments we needed to get to and I don't appreciate when companies dismiss the value of their client's time. I ended leaving to go to my appointment but my wife had to cancel hers. I ended up calling GK's office the next day and got a pretty insincere apology which included a comment similar to, "well they didn't come late on purpose". Perhaps I should be invoicing George Kent...

I replaced all the windows in my home with Vinyl Pro windows which I purchased through the service provider Renova Windows and Doors. One of the windows was made incorrectly as the insert color did not match what was documented in the work order / contract. The window is a feature window at the front of my home and with that in mind wanted the error corrected. I have been waiting since September 2021 for Vinyl Pro to correct the problem. I have followed up countless times with Renova and Vinyl Pro...it's now June 2022. If you're considering new windows ask your service provider who they get them from. If it's Vinyl Pro, I suggest you go elsewhere. June 10 - the service technician from Vinyl Pro finally installed the replacement window insert today. When the work was done, the technician said that he had a request from the owner of the company to remove my negative review.

Although Zoran and Mirko were friendly enough they didn't want to take any accountability for the error in the manufacture of one of my main windows. I made the original order in April 2021. The initial install was for the end of July. When they came with the windows, 6 were missing. They quickly blamed the manufacturer (Vinyl Pro) for the error. Was it not the responsibility of Renova to ensure that the work order was accurate? I waited until the end of September for the remaining windows to be installed. At that time, I noticed that the large front window was made with white inserts instead of brown. I confirmed with Renova that the work order did specify brown. Again, they blamed Vinyl Pro for the error. The installer did not want to take the window back to Vinyl Pro and insisted on installing it. Renova then indicated that any additional would be fulfilled by Vinyl Pro. Seems odd to me, but what could I do? So I followed their recommendations and waited for someone from Vinyl Pro to contact me. I've been in contact with Renova and Vinyl Pro for many months and all I get are excuses from everyone. I paid tens of thousands of dollars to replace all the windows in my home and that front window is one of the main feature windows of my home. I simply want what I paid for. June 10 - the service technician from Vinyl Pro finally installed the replacement window insert today.

Below is an excerpt from an email I sent to Brian the salesperson about a month after the install. It's worth noting that he never responded. I noticed a couple of things around the house. One of my exterior lights by the garage was damaged during the install. The fixture was almost entirely pulled out from the base and the securing screws were bent. I had to remove a climbing Hydrangea plant as the trellis and the plant were damaged during the install. As the downspout was moved during the install the plant has nothing to secure itself to. Initially, I tried to save the plant but as it was unsecured I had to take all of it down. I had suggested not replacing the downspout if it was going effect the health of the plant. Also, while raking and cleaning up we found some nails and metal scraps around the house. My other comment pertains to the level of customer service we received. For over a week I had my installs delayed and had to pester the office to finally get them to come out. Yes we had some rain days but there were other days the install could have been completed but were not. I also had to reach out to both the office and Brian in order to get things going. A couple of weeks after the install the office called me and left a message stating that I needed to pay my bill but I had already paid it on the day of the install. Not a big deal, but I did find it annoying. It also would have been nice if Brian or someone from the office had followed up after the install to confirm that I was happy with the install. Although I’m relatively satisfied with the end product I’m not sure that I would ever be a repeat customer nor be in a position to recommend their services.

This past year has been especially difficult with closures and restrictions due to the pandemic. Please accept our apologies for the lack of communication. Our sales rep was not available for several weeks due to a medical issue. We do our best to ensure we work around plants, shrubs, trees, and other obstacles, however, in certain situations access or weather can affect our ability to avoid contact with existing plants. With regards to the damaged light fixture, we would be happy to replace the damaged fixture. Our crews do a clean up at the end of every job however smaller debris such as screws may not be easy to spot. Fall season installs due to changes in weather can lead to frequent scheduling changes which is one of the reasons why we did not take any deposit to confirm your project.

I submitted a service request on Homestars and William from Ecotech was quick to respond and assist with our problem. I found William to be very helpful and informative without being pushy or salesy. We signed up for an annual program which includes both indoor and outdoor pest control and the price was quite competitive compared to other providers. As far as the Voles and pests...so far so good after about 2 weeks.
