troubleshoot source of a leak, toilet installation
I had a new rental hot water heater installed by [another company] in a very tight space in my condo as the old one sprung a serious leak. However, the leak persisted and got worse. A quote from another plumbing company to look into this was in excess of 900.00. This company wanted to tear out drywall in my bathroom convinced that a pipe behind the wall was at fault. I thought it might be the toilet and bought a new one. I found Michael Aviv who came right away, installed the new toilet and efficiently determined that the leak was the result of a faulty install by [another company]. He went above and beyond my expectations in correcting the fault. He spent extra time and didn't charge for it. Michael is the very best, most professional, polished tradesperson I have ever called. He also found that [another company] hadn't capped a gas pipe, a potentially dangerous situation and told me to call them immediately. Dealing with [another company] is another story. I will call only Michael and have recommended him to the condo corporation and everyone else I know for any plumbing needs. Maryann, Toronto
