This is the second time we have had Sonoma come in to do work in our house. This time, it was a basement and laundry room renovation. As usual they did outstanding work and I am again amazed at the level of craftsmanship. These guys really know what they are doing. Mike scheduled the various trades to come in seamlessly thus optimizing the overall length of time for everything to get done. We are very pleased with our new basement and laundry room.

Our main sewer line was plugged (filled with roots). We were unaware until we had a small flood in our basement. I called Mr Rooter and indicated the urgency of the situation. They were able to get someone out within 2 hours which I thought was outstanding. They unplugged the drain and scoped it and showed me the invasion of roots and dirt. We decided to remotely install a new drain lining to prevent the roots from proceeding. They put the charge of the emergency call against the larger job. Three days later they came out and were very efficient in re-lining the drain. They explained all to me and showed me the end result (via a scope again). Very pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of staff.

David was contracted to renovate our bathroom. The scope of the work was a bit further than he normally handles and he communicated this up front during the quotation process. We had David tear down our existing bathroom, remove and old tub and also remove some oddly built bulkheads. Our design included a new shower stall (tiled) and a tiled floor with baseboard tiles. David worked tirelessly to complete the job. We also needed a plumber and an electrician. Although we were unable to secure a plumber, David took on those responsibilities and did a very nice job. David works on only one project at a time and therefore we were never left in the lurch with a partially completed project while other projects were being done. Hence he worked straight from start to finish - which is nice. We are happy with our new bathroom design and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

When we decided to do our basement renovation we chose several top rated contractors from Homestars. Mike did an excellent job during the appraisal of discussing our options and showed a lot of flexibility on what we wanted to do. He submitted a very competitive quote and based on our comfort with him along with his quote we chose him and his crew. We were very happy with him and his team. They were all very friendly, were flexible with a few design changes on the fly and most importantly they did an outstanding job. Care was taken in the construction and we were very pleased with the result. Although Mike and Aldo had several other jobs on the go, our project was never delayed and was finished on time. I would highly recommend Sonoma to anyone considering a renovation. They are great people to do business with.

Initially we were overwhelmed by the number of vendors in the business of doing kitchen renovations. However we found KDP though this 'Homestars' website when we started to look at reviews of some of the vendors. This is when KDP caught our eye, as they were a featured company that had many high reviews. Based on this discovery, we decided to give them a try and we have certainly not been disappointed. Whereas most other vendors did minimal design and simply tried to sell us cabinets, John personally came to our house and suggested an alternative layout to our kitchen that was unconventional but ultimately very rewarding. Sherry next stepped in and helped us with many of the details of the design. The strength of a renovation job ultimately rests in the quality of tradesmen who work on your project. KDP sent us outstanding people. Marcello was the general contractor in charge of preparing the kitchen shell. He and his entire crew were outstanding; they were always very polite to us, listened to all our questions, always gave us full explanations of what was happening, and accommodated some on-the-fly changes that we requested. Beyond a kitchen renovation, I would recommend him and his team to anyone considering any sort of renovation. Steve came in next to install our beautiful Beckerman cabinets. He showed himself to be a top quality craftsman who took great care and did an outstanding job of installing the cabinets. I still marvel over the precision of his mitre cuts for all the moulding and baseboards. Sherry was the overall designer on the project and we found it a pleasure to work with her. She always took time to hear our concerns or questions and always worked hard to resolve them very quickly. We were very pleased with her and would recommend her to anyone else doing a kitchen renovation. We are pleased with our kitchen and our friends and family are amazed with how it has turned out.
