- great job - showed up on time - didn't ask for a penny until the job was completed - very friendly, polite, professional - made very good suggestions to our original design - very easy and pleasant to work with - finished the job on time - can't wait to renovate the kids' bathroom to have them work for us again - 100% would recommend them

Once the bulk of the installation was done and we were asked to make the rest of the payment, it was very frustrating to get the company to finish the job. We made many phone calls and left messages and most were not returned. They made many promises to come and finish the work but didn't show up and didn't bother to call to cancel. Lela, the owner, in one email wrote that "I don't believe that I need to explain myself". Very poor quality work with edges that don't meet, broken corners patched with snotty coloured silicone, surfaces not buffed properly, pieces cut too narrow and too short. If you're in the middle of a contract with them and have paid in full then the best of luck to you! If you' re in the middle of a contract with them, don't pay in full until the job is completely done. Actually wait 2 weeks before paying in full and take the time to inspect in detail. If you're not in a contract with them, keep looking for someone else to do the job! Some facts regarding the Company Response: 1. The original and ONLY job was for Ontario Stone Design (OSD) to do the job from start to finish: measure, cut, fabricate and install. OSD agreed on a delivery time without hesitation. Lela (of OSD) did not try to negotiate a different delivery time and promised she could do the job on time. All our payments were made to OSD (I have kept the cashed cheques); OSD selected, hired, and paid the sub-contractor all on their own. The sub-contractor was OSD's responsibility. The first time we met the sub-contractor was on the day of installation and he helped Lela (of OSD) do the installation. 2. It is easy to see on the photos that most of the problems occured during the measuring, cutting and fabricating, and as OSD clearly states, it was OSD's workmanship. There is no magic that can be rendered during the installation to fix measurement and quality problems: it's too late by then. 3. OSD concludes this to be a "very unfortunate situation"; the fact is that this situation occured because of POOR management, POOR quality, and POOR communication.

This was a very unfortunate situation, the original job was for us to cut and fabricate the stone and the customer was taking care of the installation. At the time we were EXTREMELY busy and had explained to them that we would not be able to do the installation in the time frame they needed. They visited our showroom and met sub-contractor installers who were here also and arranged for them to do the job and that is where the problems arouse. The payment for the stone was to our company the installation cost to the sub-contractors. After this fiasco we no longer outsource ANY installations, everything is done by our companies professional personnel.
