This is the second time in 5 years that we've moved to a new home, and we wouldn't even consider hiring any other moving company than Arby's. He and his crew did a fantastic job moving us within Milton the last time and, as expected, the moving experience was just as excellent this time, moving our belongings to another town. Arby is amazing at what he does and he and his crew are well organized and on time, efficient, cheery, and make the entire experience less stressful than it normally would be. And, at a price that's very reasonable, with no surprises or hidden costs. Over the past 30 years, my wife and I have moved to 6 different homes but none of the moves have been as smooth and pleasant as the last two with Arby. I'm not sure if we'll move again anytime soon, now that we're settling down to retire soon, but if we do we'd call Arby. Thanks again, Arby, to you and your men for the great job you did, it really made a big difference especially when moving to a new town!

We hired Hercules to move our 6 foot grand piano and an upright piano to our new home in another town. The crew was amazing and even skipped lunch to make sure the pianos were delivered with care and on time. They expertly disassembled both pianos, packed them with protective film and padding, moved them to the new location, and then reassembled them. Ivas, Michael and Simon are professionals who make a tough job look easy and provide service with a smile - we would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them!

Last summer my wife and I decided to get a cedar deck for our new home in Milton, but the company we wanted to hire for the job was unfortunately booked into the fall. We then contacted three other companies, and each came to our house to provide quotes: one was Build It Outback, a smaller company which had been highly recommended to us by the owner of the business that was booked, and the other two were large, well-known companies with portfolios on their websites. We decided to go with Build It Outback for several reasons: Jess, who runs the business with Tony, not only gave us the most reasonable quote for the cedar deck we envisioned, but was also both very polite and professional, which is something that's unfortunately not too common these days. Also, the completed projects shown on Outback's site and the photos Jess brought with him looked great. Finally, we wanted to get a town building permit for the deck, since we had no fences yet, and the subdivision grading had not yet all been signed off, so we didn't want any possible problems from inspectors. Jess was ok with that, whereas the other companies tried to talk me out of it since it would be a "hassle" and interfere with their workschedule. Since Outback was also busy with other projects, they weren't able to start as early on our deck as anticipated, but at least this was communicated to us. Once Jess, Tony and their crew got started, it was apparent that it would be a good experience since they really took pride in their craftsmanship and were a pleasure to deal with. When the deck was completed, it was not only beautiful but exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, including the cedar railing, pergola and privacy screens. Apparently we weren't the only ones who thought so: At the final inspection, the building inspector mentioned to us that he doesn't see good workmanship like this very often! Since then, we've received many positive comments about our deck from neighbours and friends, we love spending time on it, and it's also increased the value and appeal of our home. One more thing I have to mention is this: after finishing the job, Jess and his crew apologized that they had no pressure washer with them, since the clay residue from their construction equipment didn't wash completely off our driveway using a hose. The next day, one of the Outback crew members returned all the way from Burlington to our Milton home with a pressure washer, and spent half an hour washing our driveway until it was clean! Customer service doesn't get much better than that. We'd gladly hire Jess, Tony, and their crew for any future projects, and recommend them highly.

I called Ashley at Sunrise to get our windows cleaned since his company has great reviews on Homestars. As always, I trust other homeowners' recommendations much more than any advertising, and I wanted to make sure I'd get a reliable company to clean our windows so I wouldn't end up throwing money out the window (no pun intended). Our house is a 1-year old 2 story and the windows were overdue for a cleaning because of the ongoing construction around us. Anyway, Daniel from Sunrise arrived punctually and started going about his business quietly and efficiently, cleaning all windows inside and out and removing and replacing all screens as necessary. He even cleaned the small basement and garage door windows, and cleaned the back windows and patio door working around a crew building our deck. Not only did he do an excellent job, but he was also a very nice and friendly guy and made an amazing effort not to disturb us since we were both working from home that day. At the end, I pointed out one spot he missed on an upstairs window (I almost didn't want to say anything, since everything else was perfect) and he actually seemed to feel embarrassed and right away took care of it! My wife and I are both very happy with the service that Daniel provided and will definitely call Sunrise again whenever we need windows cleaned. We highly recommend them!

We chose AA Elite to inspect the century home we considered purchasing, based on the number of positive reviews from customers. Steve did a thorough inspection of the old home, answering all our questions during and after the process, and even providing a “crash course” on infrared camera inspection prior to checking the entire house for temperature and moisture related issues. He invited me along so I could see the results and get explanations where needed. This will be the 6th home we’re purchasing, and we’ve had inspections for all of them, but I have to say that this was the best experience we’ve had on several levels: Steve went all out to check this home, built in 1901, literally from top to bottom, pointed out real or potential problem areas, took standard and infrared photos of all problem items for the report, and made suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even noticed items that I’m sure many inspectors wouldn’t have: for example, that one of the 3 twisted overhead hydro cables supplying power to the house was snapped and hanging down, more than 50 ft from the house behind mature trees, although power was still being supplied to the house (we subsequently informed the agent and hydro company). At the end of the inspection, we appreciated that he verbally outlined the major problem areas, prior to following up with a detailed, online inspection report that can be saved and printed, and contains useful links. We would highly recommend Steve and AA Elite to anyone who’s planning on getting an inspection done, especially if they want to be absolutely confident about a purchasing decision. If we ever need another home inspected, we'll definitely hire AA Elite again.

We chose Arby Cartage based on the great reviews posted by other people on this site and are glad that we did. We've moved at least a half-dozen times over the years but this was definitely our best moving experience. Arby himself was very friendly and helpful when we organized the move via phone and email. It's a family business with a long history, so that makes it different from the usual moving companies. The only "complaint" I have is that the crew showed up 20 minutes early on moving day, which would have been great under usual circumstances but since we had been up really late the night before, we still had to finish loading up our own van with smaller items that we had piled near the entrance and hallway that would have been in the crew's way (but that was our fault and showing up early is much better than too late!). During the move, the crew was efficient and took good care of our stuff - it felt as if they were moving their own family's stuff. Most of all, we appreciated that Arby's son Anil, who is very professional and polite, took the time not only to re-assemble our daughter's day bed, but also offered to assemble her new IKEA bed which was still packaged in the box! -- I can only highly recommend this company and on top of all their rates for the move are more than reasonable. As others have already said, you'll be glad you hired them.
